As an aside we are 4th in the latest Director’s Cup. Think where we would be if we had a good AD.

And Men’s Swimming and diving NCAA meet is this coming weekend. Another chance to bring home bring home a trophy. Does anybody know the last time we had multiple top 10 finishes in the same school year. So 2 far this year with atleast 3 more good chances

W Soccer 17th
M Soccer 33rd
W Volleyball 17th
Wrestling 4th
Currently top ten in both Mens Swimming and Baseball and the lady pack is still playing so they are assured of a tie for 9th.It has not been this good in this many sports since V was run off my while I was at State in late 80s to early 90s.

Danny “Cant Miss” Manning is sure tearing it up in Winston these days.
Only thing better would have been Bill Friday, when his sorry ass was alive, say they deserve the death penalty in five or six sports.
That is what the cheaters deserve. Would be nice to see UNCheat get done to them what San Fran did after a scandal in the 50s. They won back to back titles in Bball, only to completely crush the program forever because of cheating.

Volleyball – already on second coach – Bunn quit – jury still out on new galIf the football hire or men’s bball hire had been like swimming or wrestling we would be rocking. But it was not. However is handling non-rev sports needs to pick the next men’s bball coach.
Can’t the Wolfpack women get some love. If the men had beaten the number 2 and 6 teams we would have to buy A much much bigger wagon. Looks like ole deb got the women’s hire right. Let’s hope we keep the wrestling and swim coach. Need to be looking for next xcountry coach as well. Since we are currently 0 for 2 in the rev sports, I will take a natty in anything else, just once before I die.
On a sad note I told my dad that UNC-CHeat would get the hammer, he said it would not happen in his lifetime. He passed away from liver cancer in may, so maybe around the one year anniversary of his passing we will see banner’s coming down.
On a better note, nothing warms the heart like seeing Lo Charles make the dunk, followed by the Villanova dagger. Good to see they get to re-live the moment every March. See Virginia, there really is a Santa Clause. ??

Swimming and Diving coachIt has been since I graduated in fall of 93 since we had been good in those three sports. It seems that all anyone cares about here is MBB and Football. Deb has raised the profile in the non-rev sports dramatically. We will see on the football hire next year, basketball, gott is a elite 8 at best.
Cause Dabo and clem pay much much better than anyone but FSU. Dabo understands win the mamas, pay everyone else.
Who was the best hire – pop in wrestling or Braden in swimming. And can either coach mbb or football
I know football and basketball are snyone thinks about but i love seeing swiming, diving, track and field, wrestling join cross country in making noise in collehe sports. Women’s bb looks promising, and I still hold out hope for football. This is the best athletics has looked since u was in school I 88 thru 93 (forgetting the beginning of the lesson Robinson inventation beginings)
Might not be a revenue sport but a ACC title with a possible NCAA title would be big !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know we most would trade all of the good to great for a great coach in either BB or FB but I think she has done very good in the non-revenue sports – looks like we have chance at natty in wrestling – we have not been this good there since I graduated in 93
