This is an excellent post, but I’d like to respectfully request a correction. You stated “1. A soldier who graduated from North Carolina around the year 2000…”
Could you edit to change the word “soldier” to “Marine”, or even “servicemember”? I know it might seem like a minor distinction to the uninitiated, but to Marines, it’s an error of no small significance.
No disrespect to our soldiers intended. It’s somewhat like calling them sailors, or vice versa. Quite frankly, I wish it weren’t a Marine that took this idiot course.

5:20pm Update: ACC reprimands Brian Dorsey, releases statement –
“Brian Dorsey is one of the best on-court officials in college basketball, but the ACC has established a game management protocol, which allows the opportunity to tell a head coach to “Shut your fucking ass up.â€, ACC commissioner John Swofford said in the statement. “His reprimand is a result of a failure to follow that protocol.
“We have to depend on our officials and their judgments; and the explanation from Brian Dorsey regarding this matter has been shared with the ACC and N.C. State University.”
Clougherty needs to be shitcanned. Not an emotional response on my part – it’s what would happen to any manager in a professional organization. Either he has no leadership ability re: the behavior of the officials, or he condones it. Either way, he should be out.
The song “Crazy Train” doesn’t bother me, but the video is lame. Two things that do bother me are the guy with Tourette’s syndrome that has his finger on wolf howl button, and when someone refers to Carter-Finley Stadium as “The Carter”.
I’ll say this, if we’re down to bitching about the entrance music, this team has come a long way. Age 39.
