Anybody want to prognosticate on whether Trump will make it through his entire first term, possibly even his first year?
On another note, and you didn’t hear this from me, political neutrality in schools (ALL schools that receive even one dime of federal funding, even research grants) could become the next carrot for continuing to receive those funds. By neutrality I mean no one, not one, from the top head cheese right down to the custodian, will be able to express any political views within the confines of school property or in any public forums or public gatherings. The first amendment stuff doesn’t apply since by receiving federal funds all employees are considered to some degree to be federal government employees and there is already a rule that states they cannot state in any fashion their political views.
Sweet, we can finally ditch abstinence only sex-ed, and put this ‘intelligent design’ crap behind us.
I’m not seeing the relevance in Trump and his first weeks to a discussion regarding Gott’s performance over the past 6 years.
I’ve got at least three jokes.
Not sure about the comments on here but this is what Arizona fans are hearing as rumors at this time:
1. Miller was in tight with Greg Byrne who left for Alabama and had a say in hiring Rich Rodriguez as the football coach.
2. Miller is not a fan of the temporary AD and isn’t expected to have a say in the hiring of the new AD.
3. Miller’s family hates Tucson with a passion.
4. Miller believes NC State is a step up from UofA as a more elite program.
5. Miller isn’t happy with the Pac-12 or its leadership and covets a job in the ACC.
6. Miller still has more ties in the east coast when it comes to recruiting than the west coast.
Lots of concerns and this may be the right timing for NC State to pull Miller than it was the last time around.
Links or it didn’t happen.
Why? Did anyone expect the Martin twins to transfer?
Wrap this thread up is speculation isn’t desired or interesting.
The amount of rebuilding needed at State is not going to be known for a while.

Abu – Possibly playing overseas?
Kapita – I’ve heard rumors of a possible transfer, but with a coaching change, who knows.
Hicks – No idea either way, seems like a Freeman kind of player, facing less of a log jam at his position.Center

Thompson – Already transferred, very tall, possible few minutes a game guy?
Yurt7 – Wants to go pro ASAP, and go NBA, so either gets drafted on potential or stays.That doesn’t seem to indicate total devastation to me.
We might need to plug a hole or two w/ a late addition or transfer, but nothing impossible.
How serious the post that offered them…I haven’t a clue.

I think there’s a huge bump leading up to Gott being left go, and then some initial excitement as candidates came up, but I suspect we won’t hear anything for another month.
I think Grep Popovich will be announced as HC during team introductions Mar. 7, where we go on a tear to be the first and last team ever to win the ACC tournament playing from the play-in game. After that we’re seeded 16, becoming the first and last team ever to win the 16 – 1 game, thereby becoming the defacto 1 seed and running the table to win our first NCAA championship since ’83. Book your flights/hotel rooms now.

What if the news of Gott’s impending firing and the contact w/ Arch was leaked by someone with an axe to grind in order to kill our chances with other A-listers by making them seem like backup choices and w/ Arch by giving Dayton & other teams on the carousel time to pony up cash/otherwise poison the well?
I would rather have any of our former players over any former Dukey or Heel. Even rather see Bryant Stith on the sidelines than those floor slappin, hand checkin fools.
Collins and Wojo have Northwestern and Chattanooga both better than Lowe ever sniffed at State.
Gottfried has nothing for the collection of the glass menagerie.
Rather, do these trinkets give a flying pigs ass about themselves and teammies? There comes a time, ya know.
