I think that talking about AD’s is an excuse. The AD trying to hire you obviously must like you. If you are winning, that next AD is going to like you. The coach on a 5, 6 or 7 year deal that is paying 3-10X the salary of the AD has way more leverage than the AD. There’s no real guarantee beyond tomorrow. Bogus argument, particularly when the AD is going to have ~ 2 more years in her tenure and that coaching contract was going to be 5-7 years.

In order to buy into him referencing Yow, one would have to buy into a notion that Yow does not have a coach’s back…You see, that would fly in the face to the most common criticism of her.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is how the ACC refs will “interpret” KK’s style of play. Pressure defense attack style by an NC State team sounds like “foul out city” to me.

I keep seeing this written as fact. We really have no idea if the Miller’s and other coaching circles view NCSU and Pack gig unfavorably.

There had been talk he’d go to his alma mater, North Carolina State, after Mark Gottfried was fired a month ago.

We’ve got different standards for the word “dominate”, although I’m genuinely glad you’re so chipper. This is a fine example of “Ignorance is bliss”.
Finishing first or tied for first all three years, winning the conference tournament championship 2/3.
The three years prior to K2-T2 UNCW finished 5-13, 5-13, 3-15. The three years he coached they finished 12-6, 14-4, 15-3.
Oh well, we move forward with the guy that did want to be here.
There’s no other CAA coaches that don’t won’t to be here. That’s an important thing to keep in mind as we begin our KK journey.

K-State hadn’t been to the NCAA tournament in 12 years, and he got them to the E8 in three.
South Carolina hasn’t been in 13 years, and only four other times total since 1989 and he’s got them in the E8.

I bet you could do a mildly interesting, completely unsurprising correlation between usernames and ages with regards to anybody with a 44 in their name vs anyone with an 83 in their name.
