PackFanParticipant
I didn’t see the game…did we go with the “smaller lineup for a better matchup” like we did last time against BC? You can’t get outrebounded AND let the opponent shoot 50%; throw in 8 for 15 at the charity stripe, and that’s an L almost every time.
Hopefully we didn’t fall from a projected 9 to all the way out. I’ll still feel a bit better if VT beats Notre Dame tonight…
PackFanParticipant^I think so. I’d rather play Clemson and get another shot at a slightly less invincible looking Virginia team. Either way, a great season and possibly a sign of things to come.
PackFanParticipantAny tips on how to catch this game overseas?
PackFanParticipantBJD: Like ryebread, I too look forward to your comments on here. I read far more than I post.
I will be curious to see how Arch does with Indiana’s resources, as I’m not quite convinced his performance in Dayton made him the end all be all.
PackFanParticipantTwo pretty terrible calls at the end – Spencer’s 5th foul and the “charge” on the basket we took the lead on. Really hate that for our women who played so hard and deserved to win. Congrats to them and Coach Moore on a GREAT season. I am looking forward to what he can accomplish here.
PackFanParticipantCan someone explain to me why so many people think Miller was the ultimate answer (that’s an honest question)? I’m not saying he wouldn’t have been a “good” coach, but his performance at Dayton doesn’t strike me as stellar. Outside of an elite 8 run (after a 10-6 conference record that year), I’m not sure he proved much.
Obviously Keatts hasn’t proven much either…I just get the feeling people think Miller is a “10” but Keatts is a “1”. Time will tell…

PackFanParticipant^ Well said.
PackFanParticipantIf the defense that played the Clemson game shows up, I think the final score will be in our favor.
BJD, congrats on the win. I refuse to draft Emmanuel Sanders next year, as I think I’m 2 for 15 on making the right start/sit decision with him this season…
PackFanParticipantCan someone please explain our insistence on running the football??
10/15/2016 at 5:05 PM in reply to: Show Us Where the Bad Howard's Rock Touched You Game Thread #108370PackFanParticipantWell, we have a much better team than I thought we did (which I have to cling to after that ending…).
PackFanParticipantI’m not sure why someone like Iowa would schedule NDST. Much like the Pack playing ECU, the risk far outweighs the benefits.
PackFanParticipantBack in the offseason, I didn’t understand how we decided to make a change but not at DC.
I still don’t understand.

PackFanParticipantIn my mind it comes down to the root cause for all the transfers. If Gott cannot develop players properly, or recruit kids into his system that can function as a team, then a change needs to be made. He mentioned something in his announcement about coaching twins; I am assuming that one of them was unhappy and convinced the other to leave? As others have stated on here, none of the kids that transferred really made a big impact on another program. Are they being selfish, or is there a coaching problem? Is there a coaching problem if he cannot recruit kids that buy into his own system?
I just hope that DY has the answer to the root cause, because I do trust that she’ll do the right thing with it.
On a related note, if Abu makes the draft then we’ll have had 2 of the best 60-65 draft players in the country this year, and not so much as an NIT to show for it…
PackFanParticipantNo worries. I’d take Archie too for the record. Maybe his big men hit free throws?
PackFanParticipantNo need to throw insults, just making a statement. I would like year 5 to be better, but I’m not sure who we’ll get to take the job if we run off a guy with 2 sweet 16’s and 22+ wins/year in his first 4.
PackFanParticipantI’d be willing to bet that if Henderson doesn’t get hurt, this team is 12-2 and we’re not talking about firing anyone. Doesn’t make the situation any better, just something to consider.
08/31/2015 at 11:58 PM in reply to: CFB 2015 Starts THIS Week: What do you expect from the Pack? #88148PackFanParticipantI agree with the assessment that we probably lose one we shouldn’t and win one we shouldn’t. Winning the first 4, 2 of 3 through Lou/VT/Wake, Split Clemson/FSU, and 2 of 3 BC/’Cuse/UN* gets us to 9. 10 not out of the question. Winning in Tallahassee is tough, but late October is prime season for Clemson to pull a Clemson, right?
PackFanParticipantIMO next year isn’t a “disaster” yet, just maybe not better than this year and certainly not as good as we had hoped. That said, any more departures would be pretty damaging.
PackFanParticipantLumpy – I couldn’t agree more!
There is no doubt that Pitino will have an adjustment or two up his sleeve compared to Round 1. One of three ways we play on Sunday:
1) We absorb the adjustments
2) The adjustments take Louisville away from what makes them tick
3) In spite of the adjustments, our 3 pt. shooting makes an appearance 🙂PackFanParticipantThey showed the Vols AD’s press conference here in TN (instead of The Price is Right! :)). He said that a very recent conversation with the NCAA was what led them to fire Tyndall; he also stated that as of a very recent conversation, Tennessee was clear as far as penalties go. They are looking for someone with experience and success, and the ability to recruit. I wonder if the price for Marshall just went up?
PackFanParticipantI think my wife might have hearing damage from what ensued in my living room. 🙂

PackFanParticipantCured – Scott Wood 3 ball over Clemson last year comes to mind.
Tough loss tonight, but hopefully they finish strong.
