Some posts are not showing up on my mobile. For example, some of you are referring to Rick’s posts but I don’t see any from him.
JKL: Doeren said in a recent interview that hat he liked about Jalan McClendon was that he was similar to Jacoby. He could step right in and run the same offense if Jacoby went down. He could have meant 2015 but I don’t think so.
They are a little hard to watch but I think our guys are overachieving at this point. I we finish at .500 that will be above expectations. We can still get to 10 wins with our remaining schedule. If we do and make the dance I will be impressed with Gott this year.
I like TJW and he is a really good player. But I’ll never be a fan of running the offense through one player and have him be the main scorer. It’s too selfish for me. If I were a teammate it would bother me.
The schedule from here on out is fairly winnable, with the tough games against SU and Pitt (and UNC given how bad they beat us, but we can turn the tables at home; we played awfully bad). We can go 6-3, though it will be tough.
As for the ESPN remark, maybe 13 meant the NCAAT committee or Possibly CBS? Either way, ESPN has little to do with this one. The tourney is on CBS.
Last night did a lot to improve our resume. I’ll tread carefully, as i have already said i didn’t think we’d make the tourney. I am changing my mind about our chances.
We are now 57th in the RPI. Our remaining schedule is easier than the first part, with only SU and Pitt as the hard teams remaining. We are likely to split the series with UNC, lose to the top 2, and can win the others (UM x2, VT, CU, WF, and BC). If we win 4 or 5 of those others, we are in.
…looking at it closer, is it even real? I am no arborist, but there are green trees to the right of the billboard that don’t look like evergreens. And if this just went up, where is the snow?

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess no one from Wisconsin did this. Is this the same billboard that had the ECU trolling message as well? (that one was on Capital just north of Wake Forest. If so, it should be easy to find out who is putting these up. Should be good for a laugh.
The comments should focus on the non-conference schedule, over which there is more discretion. This addresses none of that, and instead focuses on conference opponents.
Were ODU and GS ‘inherited”?… who cares if they are now D-I. It doesn’t change the fact that these games are not interesting.
Where are the comments on the non-conference scheduling? Or should we expect more of the same in the next few years?
I am not trying to make sweeping generalizations, especially after MD had to play like crap for us to pull it out, but….
Does this show that State may play better and with greater energy when they all don’t work hard just for TJ to score? Don’t get me wrong, we need him bad, but, should Gott spread it around a little?
I understand the frustration with Gott, especially on defense. As for the criticism of our defense, I would just rather see him focus on his offensive strengths. I think he has heard the criticism throughout his career about his defenses and the result has been no improvement there and a weaker offense. There are only a small handful of coaches who are really good at both. We would be better if he just focused on his strengths (hi-tempo, transition) rather than trying to for a square peg.
This has got to be the worst loss of the year. How MG kept Turner in the game is beyond me. Let’s stop with the “young and inexperienced” excuse.

P.s. This site is no longer good on my iPhone. The scrolling is choppy and frames and pics don’t load well. Is there anything I can change on my setting to fix this?
