Has Rodon’s velocity fallen off? No.
I’ve read – but admit i have not seen with my own eyes – that his numbers are in fact down from last year… or at least they were through March. Is there any hard data out there to confirm or refute this?
I expect Kyle Washington to keep his starting job and improve a great deal. He may end up having a great four-year career here. I can see Lenard having equal time with Anya when we go smaller.

Agree. Let’s say UVA wins it all. The ACC will have the NC in both major sports. Should those complaining about Swoff then throw him a parade?
The schitzo analysis of Gott is crazy. Plenty of voices on here when we made the tourney were praising him. Now, there is again talk of firing him, buying him out, etc. I realize these are different voices on each side, but come on.

^13. I’ve been following State basketball since only ’97 and although last night’s meltdown made me feel sick (literally), I can name 2 or 3 others that were worse.

Nor use logic… wouldn’t beating SL after beating Xavier pretty much prove we belong? Or does this guy have some unique criteria (i.e. pulled from his rectum) on who does have “business’ being in the tournament.

Xavier by 5?! Please… we win by at least 8. It would be interesting to see this same analysis over just the last 5 games when State emerged from the UNC and SU regular season jobs.
Cowdog, where did watch racing growing up? Finger Lakes, Fort Erie, Belmont? I knew we both grew up in Upstate NY but we have the horse racing thing too. My dad trained horses for a while, as did my brother. I worked around quite a bit, and was an assistant trainer to Nick Zito in ’98-’99 (right after graduating from State). That year we had a record 5 horses run in the Derby (none came close).
The analysis is interesting and enjoyable, but i am just thrilled to finally have our team on the right side of the discussion. So much of our energy as State fans is focused about why things didn’t go our way (not a criticism; just saying we’ve had some bad breaks and tough losses).
So, I don’t know exactly what tipped the scales in State’s favor. But I’m certainly happy with the outcome.

I agree they were splitting hairs between FSU and State. I believe that TJW was the difference.
I saw Xavier and SL and felt good. I haven’t seen them play, but they don’t play the caliber teams we play.
L’ville will be a tough 4-seed. If they can get past us 😉 I see them as the Final Four team.
Have not seen XAvier or SL play, but they look a little better than us on paper overall. However we have been much better lately
