PackerInRussiaParticipant
The momentum has to be two fold. FIRST (where is George Soros when we need him?), there must be protests and vigils and votive candle ceremonies bemoaning the fact that we are in a coaching death spiral. It has to have some “recognition”. NOW, on a serious side, writing Bobby Purcell and Dr. Woodson would be a good first step for the “many” that are concerned….especially those that wish to give advice.
Hey, our students can burn and break things and cause a ruckus too. And they don’t even need a reason. (I was there, but not a participant)

I guess he’s telling them to stay on the sidelines. Does he not realize the game just ended? Good thing he didn’t flag them for unsportsmanlike conduct (a.k.a. being happy after winning).
PackerInRussiaParticipantAnd there is not a lot of buzz.
I think everyone was gearing up for the big Groundhog Day celebration.
PackerInRussiaParticipanthis way coaches’ agents can contact the consultant and both the school and coach can honestly deny any rumors until both sides are serious.
Now, see, you’re talking defense. We don’t do defense, remember?

Will take a miracle to make anything of this season. What a shame. At least we got to see the great DSJ play. He and Ben Simmons should start a club.
PackerInRussiaParticipantWell, I’d say this bodes well for the state of things after K retires. So far, State is 2-0 against Duke at Cameron without K on the sidelines.

Now if only they could figure out how to commit a defense.
01/22/2017 at 6:35 AM in reply to: Your “It’s Not Danny Manning’s Fault But I Still Don’t Like Him” WF Open Thread #115177PackerInRussiaParticipantAhhh, another record-breaking game. In all the wrong ways.

PackerInRussiaParticipantI just watched the Bubble Boy episode of Seinfeld. I thought that would be a good nickname for Herb Sendek as NC State coach. I’ll bet he even knows that it’s the Moors who invaded Spain and not the Moops.
PackerInRussiaParticipantRemember that time they destroyed VT? Yeah, that was awesome.
PackerInRussiaParticipantIf Dabo hasn’t already sent Kyle Bambard a fruit basket or something, he’d better.
Enjoyable game…except for all the time they weren’t playing it. Great ending…except for how it took forever to end.
I downloaded the game. Commercials and halftime removed, it was still 3 hours long. I can’t imagine watching it live.PackerInRussiaParticipantI think that despite the hated rivalry, there’s a very harmonious existence between the two universities. They have a nice medical program to train doctors who can treat our fans and we have a medical program to train doctors to treat their fans.
PackerInRussiaParticipantchoppack, that’s what’s great about being a sports fan. I can selectively ignore certain things that don’t fit my narrative.
PackerInRussiaParticipantSo, applying the transitive property, State beat VT badly. VT beat Duke fairly badly. Duke beat GT like a red-headed step child (is it still acceptable to say that?). GT beat UNC. So, there’s really no need to play Saturday’s game as State has already beaten them by an extremely large margin. Of course, that also means that Syracuse is our daddy. Not sure if I’m willing to let it go that far.
PackerInRussiaParticipantI’m glad that someone found the real team and was able to get rid of the impostors that took their place in Miami. Hopefully we won’t see them anymore.
PackerInRussiaParticipantHow bout we just call it a paper game. No one has to show up, but we get a W.
PackerInRussiaParticipantI’m glad so many UNC fans were able to make it out to the game today.

Maybe he chooses based on uniform color. Or which mascot looks coolest. That’s how my kids make their tourney picks.
12/29/2016 at 2:11 PM in reply to: Rider?? I Barely Even Know Her!! Game Thread (7:00, ESPN3) #113173PackerInRussiaParticipantNo TV so I’m only glancing at the computer screen to see a score now and then.
That’s too bad because the screen shows that Dennis Smith scores 2 points, but the TV shows everyone in the arena’s jaws on the floor as he flew through the air and jammed it home one-handed. I’d recommend watching some highlights. Some nice dunks if you’re into that kind of stuff. Even a putback jam by Mr. Rowan.
PackerInRussiaParticipantThat’s a great picture of the Demon Deacon pushing the motorcycle across the field. Next year, he will have to start hitching a ride into the stadium as Louisville will still the motorcycle.
PackerInRussiaParticipantThis is not my story, but I think it’s funny. Have a friend who didn’t do Santa with his son, but instead told him that Santa Claus was based on a real person – St. Nicholas – and told the whole story of who he was, what he did, etc. and of course including that he lived a long time ago. What he didn’t explain well was what most other kids believed about Santa. So, he had to have a long talk with sonny boy about that point when he made a fellow little kid cry by innocently telling him that Santa Claus was dead.
PackerInRussiaParticipantFruit cake myth: there are only 17 in the entire world and people regift them each year.
Fruitcake: the original twinkie.
PackerInRussiaParticipantI am afraid of dairy drinks as I had a bad milk experience as a child and have never been able to drink anything resembling milk since then (except chocolate milk). However, I was brave and tried egg nog a few years ago and was surprised that I actually liked it. The next year I was looking forward to it and tried someone else’s and it gave me bad milk flashbacks. The only difference was the rum.
PackerInRussiaParticipantWhy do you always take two baptists fishing?
…..
Cause if you only take one he’ll drink all your beer.
Now that’s funny right there (cuz it’s true). And I laughed at the non-PC joke too.
