Maybe the next time we have a pitcher as good as Carlos Rodon, the team will be better (sarcasm level: high).
Would be a shame for him to not even get to pitch in the ACC tournament. Here’s hoping for them to somehow at least make it that far. Wufpacker, kudos for continuing the write-ups in a less-than-stellar season for a sport that does not excite the fanbase nearly as much as the other two major sports. Mojo or otherwise, your dedication is truly unmatched (read: you’re a glutton for punishment and deep inside I feel sorry for you).But they do have a freakin’ huge screen. And a giant rearview mirror statue. What more could you want?
How many were actually drafted and are not in the league versus just not drafted. Advice to leave at a certain point is more determined on probably draft position of that year as compared to the following years. So, maybe it was still a good financial decision to leave at that time even if they’re not still in the league at the moment.

Wufpacker, I think a good summary is that, yes, the team will suck. But, the schedule allows for suckiness while also becoming bowl eligible. But, no one will be at the games, so it may not matter. And don’t forget that it’s all Lee Fowler/Tom O’Brien/Debbie Yow/Dave Doeren’s fault (select one or several from the list depending on your like/dislike of the current coach or his predecessor) and could have all been avoided if Tom O’Brien had recruited better/Tom O’Brien had been fired sooner/Tom O’Brien hadn’t been hired/Dave Doeren hadn’t been hired/Debbie Yow hadn’t been hired/Lee Fowler hadn’t been born/Philip Rivers had been redshirted/Chuck Amato hadn’t worn sunglasses, red sneakers, or been Italian (choose one).
I think that using this template, you can now form an opinion.2 French classes, Calc 2, History of the Middle Ages, some Comm classes, a math class that I was TA for, and Chem help sessions were in there. It feels like it should be much more than that considering the effect it leaves. Actually, I kind of like dark, stuffy, quaint spaces, so it didn’t damage me much I don’t think. I’m no basketball historian, but I don’t remember Butler doing anything before Brad Stevens. It sounds good to say “Butler” b/c of their recent success, but were the more than a flash in the pan with a great coach. The WBS moniker would have gone along well with Babyface Stevens.
Just to get a little chatter going: thanks for sticking it out and writing the previews. Baseball’s a funny game and you never know what can happen, but they’d need a Major League-like turnaround to get back to the Promised Land. I’ve not been able to see a single game. So, I just read on here and check scores and watch the gametracker when it’s at an hour I can see it. Thanks for keeping it fresh.
I wonder what teams records are when giving up 8 unearned runs are. I’m guessing somewhere along the lines of oh-and-however many games that’s happened in. I know Maryland is in deep to the ACC, but no need to be that charitable to them.
Now that is some high-class comedy right there. I hung on every word just waiting for it to get worse and worse. Would that get a passing grade in 3rd grade? Can’t wait for the audio version as read by Tyler Hansbrough.
