Cowdog, you’re such a troll 😉
PackerInRussiaParticipantI’m gonna go out on a limb and say that long pass for a TD by USF was a fluke.
PackerInRussiaParticipantAnd the seats go wild.
PackerInRussiaParticipantHate it for USF (OK, not really)
PackerInRussiaParticipantI’m liking the stadium seating. Not liking that long catch.
09/11/2014 at 11:57 AM in reply to: Researcher Lies About Everything, Guess Where His Legit Degree Is From #56004PackerInRussiaParticipant(admit it….you went back and looked at his name to double check me)
I sure did 🙂
PackerInRussiaParticipantWanna do something really cool? Have a 64-team “college NFL” with divisions and centralized scheduling. But also mix in the European soccer “promotion and relegation” concept. In addition to the “good” 16-team playoff, you could have a “bad” bracket to determine who gets relegated.
promotion and relegation is makes the idea manageable. The down side is Swoffy would find a way for the holes to avoid relegation no matter what.
Just add in a reality-show element. One team each year gets “immunity” from relegation.

Wuf, brilliant insight. 🙂
PackerInRussiaParticipantI like it. I vote for this system. Better than BCS, better than playoffs. Nice work, too.
PackerInRussiaParticipantNice rushing averages. Would be great to see those hold up. Also nice to see only one turnover and no fumbles. I also noticed the few amount of penalties and have enjoyed that as well. Now, if they could just figure out how to not let other teams rumble down the field out of the backfield. For now, in Cowdog I’ll trust. What have I got to lose.
09/04/2014 at 2:35 PM in reply to: Carolina Way: “ignoring unethical & immoral activities until forced to respond by the media” #55394PackerInRussiaParticipantWhoCares is right. This is just a typical beating of a teammate until he’s unconscious. I’d bet cold hard confederate cash that this happens on most teams. The NCAA barely cares about concussions that happen on the field; there’s certainly nothing in their laws about off-the-field concussion-induced thrashings, so if it ain’t in the Good (NCAA) Book, as far as I’m concerned, it’s case closed. The kid-turned-punching-bag didn’t seem to hold any ill will when he was being treated like one of the gang on Saturday and he’s been on both sides of the gang, so he must know from experience. True it was a little crooked, but that smile seemed to exude, “Everything is in the past; water under the bri…wait, what were we talking about again?” Let’s all collectively forgive and forget as Mr. Boyer would no doubt tell you he has done. He’s gone so far to forget that he can barely remember what he had for breakfast. It’s just kids being kids. After all, if you can’t experience with group bludgeoning in college, the land of experimentation, then where can you? WhoCares indeed.
PackerInRussiaParticipantIt was so weird the time I went and watched State play at Duke. I kept having to remind myself, “This is a real game. This is a real game.”
PackerInRussiaParticipantI think they should paint the field solid black and encourage the fans to do a “black out.” The opposing fans would never know what hit them. Literally. And for the record, I like the uniforms. Even more, I like that the team likes the uniforms.
PackerInRussiaParticipant2 game season? Must have been a heck of an off-season. On the other hand, you have a whole year to prepare for a single opponent that you’ll play twice. Football season sure would breeze by, though. I’m sure ESPN could figure something out to make it seem longer and more important than it actually was, though.
PackerInRussiaParticipantSaw on ESPN that the four guys were suspended for their first game against Liberty.

“We hold our players accountable for their actions at all times,” Fedora said in the statement. “These players did not meet the high expectations we have for them as members of our program and have been disciplined accordingly. They will not play on Saturday or be on the sideline with their teammates.”
No mention of the “alleged incident” at all. Either they can’t talk about it in order to “protect the player” (we don’t talk about concussions our players receive from other players in order to protect them) or they think no one has the internet and won’t know what happened if they don’t mention it.
PackerInRussiaParticipantWow, UNC and Duke 3 days apart. This place will potentially either be a complete nirvana or in the depths of despair.
PackerInRussiaParticipantI can understand why “hazing” would get tossed around – one guy gets roughed up by other team members; some could conclude that it must be hazing. Very unfortunate for UNC, though. I’m assuming at least light hazing is still normal these days? But you surely don’t want potential future players thinking that you could get hazed so bad you end up with a concussion. Bottom line: I’m sure UNC’s will have great PR control as usual, but words like “hazing” and “concussion” are some of those buzz words that seem to transcend PR influence. Unfortunate for them – not that that’s a bad thing.
PackerInRussiaParticipantPlease don’t scare me like that. These days when you see any bball player’s name followed by “transf…” my stomach immediately starts turning, my eyes start twitching, and that old familiar feeling of dread starts rushing over me, especially someone of his caliber.
On topic, though…that is a serious transformation. Like guy holding his old pants 12″ out in front of him in an advertisement serious.
PackerInRussiaParticipantLootas gonna loot
08/20/2014 at 11:41 AM in reply to: Top motivational speaker who isn’t Wolfman Jack speaks to the Pack #54302PackerInRussiaParticipantSorry, but when I hear “motivational speaker” all I see are dark-rimmed glasses, slicked-back hair, a green tie and checkered blazer clothing a man badly in need of a job in order to escape the dietary consequences of government cheese and the doldrums of living in a van down by the river.
“Heard ya got a nice football team here, Dave. Really heading places. Fresh new quarterback. Bright future. Well I’m here to tell you that this year you won’t amount to jack squat!”
Long live Matt Foley.PackerInRussiaParticipant^ Had to get the O’s in there, eh? Actually, now that you mention the Lough/Turner resemblance…
PackerInRussiaParticipantIs there just an assumption that if you’re a scorer you don’t play good defense? And he certainly wasn’t a ball hog if that’s what was implied by the passing assessment. He wasn’t one of those guys taking 10 shots to make 2. It’s a little bittersweet seeing him do his thing in a non-Wolfpack uniform.
PackerInRussiaParticipantHey, we’re not one of those traditional powerhouses that can just continue to use conventional punctuation rules. Sometimes you just have to mix it up a little. If using unconventional punctuation gets recruits interested, I’m all for it. Supposedly, there was one recruit who committed primarily based on the non-standard use of quotation marks in that statement in the picture. True story.
07/22/2014 at 8:27 AM in reply to: NCAA denies ACC use of helmet cams, sideline communications (CBSSports.com) #53729PackerInRussiaParticipantSo what else do these vests do? It makes it sound as if it can be used for more than health and safety, but that’s what it seems designed for.
07/18/2014 at 11:32 PM in reply to: State hats and shirts cheap. Not a China thread. I promise. #53697PackerInRussiaParticipantThanks for the heads up. I took advantage of the sale. I hope you’re getting commission.
