PackerInRussiaParticipant
Markell’s back out on the floor. Glad to see that. Kind of forgot about him after noticing the SC State guy on the ground.
PackerInRussiaParticipantIndeed. I don’t think there was a single person thinking about b-ball during that.
Just announced he’s conscious and stable at the hospital.PackerInRussiaParticipantAgree. That was scary. I do t think I could play after seeing that. Especially for SC State. Somber mood in the PNC
PackerInRussiaParticipantCowdog I hope the boys in red keep winning so that you’ll keep posting that story each year. Enjoy it every time. Either I noticed some new things or you added in a few extra details. A few new wrinkles for the big game?
PackerInRussiaParticipantI am probably in the minority – but I don’t hate the wildcat.
I don’t hate it either. Isn’t the idea that by running it you have an extra blocker? If you put it in the category of a “trick play” and thus expect it to result in something big, then I can see it being disappointing, but if it’s another play to give you some positive rushing yards, then I don’t see the problem.
PackerInRussiaParticipantThat was a nice trip down memory lane. Now go out there with all you’ve got and win just one for the Cowdog.
PackerInRussiaParticipantBoston College is breaking bad on Virginia. They seem to be upward trending. That’s fine as long as it stops on November 11th.
PackerInRussiaParticipantGood news. I hope they pay him well. And I hope he didn’t do anything dumb to threaten his eligibility like study too much or something like that. #themoderngame
PackerInRussiaParticipantNotre Dame game I a very interesting match up. They stink at passing and rush for over 300 yards a game. It would appear that our D sets us up to do well on this game.
That does sound like a good set up in theory. If State can have some nice long TOUCHDOWN drives and get ahead while getting some stops against them, ND will be forced to pass more and get away from their strength. Or if they refuse and stick to the run, as long as they’re not rushing at 20-30 yards a clip, they’ll be hard pressed to catch up. We’ve seen them be stubborn before. Just based on how State has performed thus far and their approach, there’s cause for optimism. However, given that Notre Dame is probably the best team they’ve faced yet and it’s on the road, advantages tend to get offset in these types of situations. As far as intangibles, I like the way the Pack plays – they don’t play like someone should hand them the game, rather they play like they belong on the field and can play against anyone. They do a lot of things well even if they don’t play perfect. They play hard and compete which should, at the very least, provide for an entertaining game to watch and a team worth pulling for.

You know they’re saving it all up for one game. They’ll bring their A+ game. Fortunately we know they’re A+ doesn’t carry weight in the real world.
PackerInRussiaParticipantAny appeal should begin with the phrase: “In light of the recent ruling in the UNC case…” And maybe nothing else needs to be said.
PackerInRussiaParticipantWell it was a fine ride while it lasted. I guess I should revise my previous post: No Virgina, there isn’t a Friday
PackerInRussiaParticipantAfter further review, the ruling on the field stands.
PackerInRussiaParticipantYes Virginia, there is a Friday.
PackerInRussiaParticipantMcCallum, here’s a shot of the updated show. You should really check it out.
PackerInRussiaParticipantWell apparently our pr department is showing why they should be paid in pesos. They’ve given an incredibly weak response on the blackout question that only confuses message further ….but absolutely yells “we are clueless.”
They must have been told there was a blackout for the game. So they ceased posting any information

PackerInRussiaParticipantSubtle, but effective.
PackerInRussiaParticipantCowdog – I am looking forward to it. Also I hope that you are worried about wolfpack football vs Irma come later week.
Why be worried? They’re 1-0 against hurricanes during Doeren’s tenure.
PackerInRussiaParticipantThe Council of Trent? Come on, man, it’s the 500-year anniversary of the Reformation. Hop on the bandwagon!
PackerInRussiaParticipantIs that a dark horse I see? Oh, wait, it’s just the same old mule that’s always been standing there?
PackerInRussiaParticipantThose opening words bring tears to my eyes.
PackerInRussiaParticipantWould have loved to rewatch some games from that series as I didn’t get to see any live. Too bad espn3 is such crap for me.
PackerInRussiaParticipantIf you’re willing to live in a different country every year or few years, you can make a decent living playing ball overseas. And they’re not playing for peanuts. You have teams that don’t pay as well and then you have teams owned by some rich guy who will pay a bunch of money. And they are always looking for American players. There’s a veritable who?? (as opposed to who’s who) of former college players that you’d have to Google to figure out who they played college ball for and then maybe you vaguely remember them; and they’re making a pretty good living playing. And they can keep playing for a good while. Often their housing and other costs are covered too, so they’re able to save a lot of their salary if they choose. You hear about some bad experiences, but they can do pretty well for themselves.
PackerInRussiaParticipantSay what ya want, but keep the politics and religion in ‘Roos thread.
Oh, sorry.
