Talked to one of my friends at auburn who’s a recruiting assistant, he is not sure but he believes that Auburn is coming to Charlotte.
The Memphis coach Fuentes I believe, is a hot name and could end up at USC.
Don’t be surprised if Virginia tech makes a run for miles.
This game is the biggest of doerens tenure. Beating the cheats is a must especially on our field. The cheats will come in trying to deliver the knock out punch very early. The first possession is crucial in this game. They will try trick plays or rub routes to switzer. Nyheim Hines is a key player in this game. The cheats can not defend the run and if we get that going play action to Hines would be killer.
Our D line is in my opinion better and much more athletic than last year. Expect a heavy dose of blitzing and pressure from them.
Special Teams is where this game will be won.
Barnard needs to get some confidence in him, he needs to see himself make it. And lastly containing switzer in the return game is huge.Mista Wolf-
Not only do we have a legitimate shot at 7-0 Clemson has a chance at being undefeated as well. On that weekend the only other marquee College Gameday caliber games are:
Georgia vs Florida
Michigan vs Minnesota
Possibly an FCS option which Gameday has done before.
And State vs Clemson
Our game will most like be the only game of two undefeated teams.
College Gameday is what helps the program long term. With a win and that exposure against a team like Clemson, Halloween could be real fun this year!You’re right I was just referring to games where the rematch was a different result than the first.
Wasn’t really counting season sweeps.As we all “fantasize” about final fours or championships. Lets just focus on one game at a time. We have what will be a tough matchup even without Chris Jones for Louisville. We are not going to shut down Harrel again its just not gonna happen. In rematches this year we are 1-2. Louisville is going to come out on all cylinders. The first five minutes of the game will be monumental if we come out flat and take bad shots and don’t rebound it will be a long night, if we stay with them it should be stressful, if Louisville comes out flat it will probably still be stressful. Gottfried is conducting himself like a man on a mission, which i like. I do not like the attention we are getting. I would much rather have nobody thinking we can win and just shut them all up like we did with Nova. I believe we have the edge because of momentum and guard play.
As for the winner of MSU/Ok I’m not worried MSU does not do good against big defensive teams. The win against Virginia was impressive but after the loss of Anderson UVA has been out of whack. Oklahoma might just exploit the “luck” of MSU this tourney. And the Izzo bandwagoneers (ESPN) will shut up.
As for the Final Four it will be tough against any of the teams we could play. It will most likely be Duke but I’m also worried about Gonzaga. Lets hope for some upsets of those teams to up our chances.
IF we somehow make the National Championship i see no reason why it won’t be against Kentucky. If thats the case lets just make it nice recruiting oppurtunity because UK is playing better than most NBA teams. IF somebody can take the cats down we can beat any of the teams on that side of the bracket.
All of this is just me spitballin ideas but even if we don’t win. We made this far with a young team. Just wait for next year we could be so dangerous! And to think TJ Warren could have been on this team.
LSU’s Jordan Mickey has injured shoulder. Only played 16 min. and only scored 1 point, compared to his average 34 mpg. and 17 ppg. When LSU played Kentucky MIckey played like an equivalent to Lacey. If Mickey doesn’t play or is not at full strength States chances go up big time.
The football players liked their unis and played great in them, if our basketball players like these expect the same.
Does anybody have a prediction for where we will end up in the ACC Tournament. I think we can realistically be a 5/6 seed with Syracuse quiting.
How can you call GOTT a horrible coach! We have beaten Duke Loserville and the cheats in the same season!
