If this continues…when is the last time that the Pack, holes, Dook, and Wake all lost on the same day?
And the GT Yellow Jackets, in addition to whacking ORW, take out UK in the Gator (Taxslayer) Bowl by 15 points-nice ‘ACC, ACC’ chant near the end of the game as we continue to improve our bowl record and beat another SEC squad.
Well-I, for one, am pleased-thought the officiating was the worst I have seen this year. Holding against us and missed calls both ways were ridiculous…
Doeren’s halftime interview: complained about all of the holding not being called against Vandy’s O-line-said we had three guys with ripped jerseys; doesn’t expect to get calls in the second half either. In spite of this we are beginning to get real heat on Shurmur.
Is that footie or footsie?
Hope Vandy sees a lot of Dayes, Hines, and Louis’ footies flying past them on the way to the endzone…
As some sage stated last year, watching the Pack is fun in a bar, but in your den you are free to cuss and throw things…

Great game reports-thanks…so, I take it that some of you folks (I had liver mush breakfasts as well back in the day) have made the trek over to Tony’s Ice Cream in Uptown Gastonia (native Charlottean, I couldn’t resist). That would be for their famous liver mush sandwich topped off with quite possibly the best chocolate milkshake in the Carolinas?
Several folks on TOS warned of the ‘Ville’s unsuitability for admittance to the ACC (unx notwithstanding!)…with Pitino and Petrino as revenue sport coaches, we see what kind of corrupt programs they run. Anyone else see that several folks (including two FB players) were shot at ‘parties’ celebrating Jackson’s Heisman Trophy award? The AD’s statement regarding this latest mess is an exercise in deflection-truly an embarrassment. I hope to not come across as tarhole-like with these statements…no jumping on a high-horse here-but Louisville looks like a terrible addition to the conference.

Missed our game due to investing the time to watch Army-Navy with some old friends whose son is a USNA grad-quietly pulled for Army to break the streak-both games went the way I hoped in the end.
Two things that I remember from reading The Right Stuff years ago, Glenn (‘the boy scout’) admonishing his six colleagues to ‘keep their pants zipped’ (LOL) and Wolfe’s recap of the aforementioned performance of our early rocket versions vs. the Russkies: AND OURS ALWAYS BLOW UP! These studs truly had The Right Stuff!
Great stories of Glenn and the original seven in The Right Stuff-he (as well as the others) had one hell of a resume.
Was at the tarhole FB game, seated in Sec. 101 in a sea of State Red-fairly near the Blew Zone, which began to empty out when we turned them over on downs with about 3 minutes left. Several blue-clad idiots (redundant?) began to yell at our section, one even coming to the front row making BB jumpshot motions-my witty colleague started a chorus of ‘jump,jump…’.
Bonehead went on for a good five minutes until game’s end…naw, we’re not their rivals…Went to the State-unx game over at the Hole as a freshman in ’74…we came in a ranked favorite IIRC and got plowed something like 34-13. Still remember all of the taunts from the hole fans leaving that pile-of-crap stadium. Hate for the holes actually was conditioned well before that as my GT engineering-grad father explained to me as a young lad that ‘your States and your Techs actually graduate the people that do the important work in life’…the ‘universities of’ (like unx!) take care of the easier, less rigorous things. Was at the game yesterday by the way…the butthurt in the Blew Zone was epic!
