I thought that it was on Western just past Gorman-later converted to a McDonalds? But usually, we were there early in the AM ‘carrying a pretty good load’ as my late father would say-could be wrong.
Since old defunct places in the wee hours are up for discussion: Can’t believe that the Double R burger at Roy Rogers on Western hasn’t been mentioned!

Tony’s Ice Cream (they make their own) in Gastonia..the shakes are killer good and the livermush sammich is excellent.

I am the son of a GT grad and have two brothers that matriculated at the North Avenue Trade School in ATL as well…football Saturdays were spent listening to the Jackets or occasionally going to a game. Despised the Dawgs and Larry Munson almost since the time I could talk…the hatred transferred to the Cheats very easily upon matriculating to State-UGA is still in the #2 position.
