+ 5 points if you read this with Stephen Hawking’s voice.

ParticipantI think the boundary passes leave the receivers less vulnerable to injury and are therefore more popular

ParticipantI think the last couple of years, in addition to being disappointed with the outcomes of the big sports, people are tired of arguing and being shouted down at every turn if their opinions don’t match the loudest shouter. We get innundated every day with the news and social media. Many of the non-sports topics of the summer have been extremely polarizing. The *NC scandal has grown old and stale, and until there is resolution or something groundbreaking or incredibly stupid or controversial happens, it sits on the shelf. Monument hysteria is a great topic, but won’t end well. I am just tired of all the fighting.

Participant*NC’s fraud was mentioned this morning in Memphis on 98.1 The Max, Drake in the morning show. This guy pulls no punches. After I heard it, I forwarded yesterday’s article to him, as I did to about 15 folks yesterday. I make sure my Navy friends in particular know all about LT Brian Lubitz and how he tarnished the integrity of the entire Officer Corps by pulling his stunt with the Naval Weapons Systems course. I have tried several times to let the submarine USS North Carolina know that by supporting *NC and flying that flag, they are condoning fraud. Yes, it’s personal to me.

Participant“Fedora’s squad shut down one of the best offenses in all of FCS. The Tar Heels offense didn’t have its “A” game, but it didn’t have to against the Bulldogs.” USA Today brags on *NC for its work against the Citadel. Really?

ParticipantI wonder if there’s ever been a freeway built through a white neighborhood?
Not a Freeway, but TVA and the New Deal certainly displaced some folks in the mountains.

ParticipantI remember when the goal posts ended up in the parking lot. Rough night.

ParticipantI am noticing more running backs these days that try to avoid contact. They don’t seem willing to deliver the hit to the defender a la Todd Gurley. I love seeing RBs run over defenders. Bouncing outside will only do so much for you unless you’re lightning fast and gives the DBs time to react and close.
NCSU88
ParticipantHighly talented running backs still need an offensive line to give them the opportunity to show off said talent.

ParticipantPage 168 -“Valvano: They gave me a lifetime contract, and then they declared me dead”
“Every season with the increased visibility of ohr program on television, we always fot cards and letters from fans critiquing the players’ postgame interviews. I always told the team to try in these exchanges to offer smething interesting, different, matbe some kry word which would make them sound better. After our final victory, against Clemson in the ACC tournament, Shack was asked how he came to be so effective with either hand.
“Yeah, well coach told me to work on being more amphibious,” Shack said. Which wouldn’t have been so bad except he announced that his coach had said it.
“Yeah, well, you should see Shack in the pool, I said.NCSU88
ParticipantMy *NC friends are still smarting from the game. One posted this epic rant from one of the Espn talking heads. I laughed out loud.
