I hate to even give myself the glimmer of hope that TJW is returning so stop it guys. Plus, since TJW and TL are such good friends, I see TL leaving as a bigger sign that TJW is leaving. Those two could have possibly made a dynamic team in 2015. On the flip side, very, very few people are listing TJW as a lottery pick for this year’s deep draft. That’s also got to be in the back of his mind. If he returns for one more year of polishing his outside shot, he would have the national medai all over him and that could increase his draft status. Or, NC State_Crap could overtake him and he gets …
navParticipantCoach Lutz is staying at NCSU according to a tweet by Coach Lutz.
navParticipantI hate to lose Coach Lutz but if we do,please God let us bring in a coach that can coach D!
03/25/2014 at 12:01 PM in reply to: National Media Outlets Say “TJ Warren To The NBA” But TJ Says “Undecided” #49549navParticipantHe still has his one year of “test the waters” I think that he can do. This years draft is so top heavy it’s going to be hard for him to be a lottery pick. Is it worth going pro if you are not a lotter pick? I don’t know the answer to that. At this point there is no guarantee he will even get in the first rd. Hopefully, Gott can get a better answer for him.
navParticipantNice run boys
navParticipantTex you kidding? Those are the guys that score 30+pts on career night against the Pack.
navParticipantI’m pretty sure i speak for most everyone here when I say how proud I am of this year’s team. Not the most talented we’ve had but they played their hearts out. Coach Gott had his best year coaching since he’s been here. He put us in a position to win in most all our games. Just a few plays short of the Big Dance.
I don’t think I need to say anything that’s not already been said about TJW.
Remember the beginning of the season when we didn’t know if our PG’s could coexist. Somehow the coaches found out a way to get the best out of Cat and Lewis.03/14/2014 at 12:42 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46040navParticipantI also assume we want FSU to lose so that opens up one more possible NCAA at-large spot.
03/14/2014 at 12:05 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46038navParticipantSince I’m dreaming here, WHEN State beats Cuse tonight, does anyone here have a prediction on where our RPI might site?
Baby steps, baby steps
navParticipantI’m not trying to be an ass but does anyone really care what seed we end up in the NIT. I don’t want to hear any crap about extra practice. To me it’s just another game where one of our future players could get injured. Not to mention the injury to my soul when we play in this useless tournament. I’d just as soon skip the NIT but I know that will not happen.
Like Wuf said, hopefully this post is irrelevant.

navParticipantI honestly like State’s chances against Cuse better than Miami. We’ll see tomorrow but I have a good feeling. Win #21 tomorrow.
navParticipantI think our offensive strategy for the ACC tourney should be give the ball to TJW and clear out. Possession after possession after possession. Based on his +50% for the game. I’ll take that everytime assuming we can play some damn D and some benchwarmer for the other team does not have the night of his life (which happens far too ofter against State).
BTW, I only partially kid about this strategy.
navParticipantLosing the first game of the season is the new NC State CWS tradition.
navParticipant^Come on man. Lemme dream a little before you crush my hopes.
What’s everyone’s honest opionion on how TJW can do in teh pro’s? He doesn’t have a great outside shot, he’s not the quickest guy on the court, and he’s not the strongest guy on the court. He does have a magical ability to know where the ball is going off a missed shot and putting it back up. He has a nice mid-range shot. High motor around the basket. I just don’t know how well he’ll do against bigger, stronger guys in the NBA. Will he be able to get that first step on his man and be able to get to the rim? Will he be able to bang against guys in the NBA to get that rebound and put it back up? I hope so. I don’t want him to be another Rodney Monroe. Can score all over the place in college but never can get it in the NBA.
For full disclosure…I never watch NBA bb. I freaking hate it. So if I”m totally off base then someone can tell me so.
navParticipantI disagree that TJW has nothing to prove. This year he is still getting snubbed in the national spotlight. If he were to comeback I think it could be the difference between a mid to late first round and high first rd.
navParticipantThough I hate Duke, Coach K is probably the greatest coach in NCAA history and would love to have him as the coach of my team. Impossible to compare era’s between the the 70’s and todays game but K has taken teams with above average players and turned them into great TEAMS as Bill put it. He also has a lot of kind words to say about his late-in-life turned friend, Coach Valvano.
navParticipant^I actually like listening to Adam Gold. He seems pretty fair minded IMHO. Ovies, he just seems to regurgitate what other people say and try to make comments just to get a reaction. But even he I can listen to without much problem. It’s David Glenn that totally pisses me off.
navParticipantObviously, Va knows lightyears more than I when it comes to tourney selection but I would venture to say that we need to win the next three, make a run to the ACC chamionship game and have a good showing there before even having a chance to sniff the NCAA.
What do you think Va?
navParticipantDoes anyone else smell a strong finish and good run in the ACC tourney all to end up just short and get a high NIT seed? We’ve been there before and heading down the same road.
navParticipantThere are always questionable calls but I didn’t see them costing us the game. The outstanding play of Paige cost us the game. He was doing his best JJ Redick impersonation against us last night. Let’s face it, State knows how to bring out the best in Duke and UNC players. I’m proud of the team and coaches last night.
navParticipantI’ll write the first loss up to a good sign. Starting out just like last year. Rodon on the mound for the first game and ending with a loss to a team we should beat. The rest is history.
navParticipantI dunno TRS. This is a 1/4 speed view. The call looks correct. I see a reach in foul on the floor before TJW traveled with the ball. 3 steps after the bounce.
navParticipant^1000%. Tyler should have fouled Fair well before he had a chance to put that layup up. If nothing else, it would have stopped the clock.
navParticipantI personally didn’t think the foul on TJW was a bad call. It could have gone either way from a shooting foul to on-the-floor.
I’m ready to move on past this heartbreaking loss. It hurts and there are still a lot of games left to win. This team’s coming together nicely and if they don’t let this game get to them they have a good chance at a nice run to setup a tourney bid. Even the loss turned a lot of heads and got people thinking about State as an NCAA tourney team.
