^If by “that guy” you mean relishing in some poor innocent girls misery after a BIG State win… then yes, yes I do. lol
And hopefully many more to come.
navParticipantBeing top 25 ranked has been the kiss-of-death of State for as long as I can remember. I always loved to see them ranked but knew it meant a disparaging loss was imminent.
navParticipantKW xfering is about as shocking as finding out McDonald’s is fattening. Still sucks though.
navParticipantIt must really suck to be a bb player at State because no one of high caliber ever stays long. I never figured Lacey would jump pro. Now we just need half the team to xfer to complete the implosion of next years expectations.
I freaking hate sports and hate being a State fan. I wish there was some way of getting my emotionally attached side of my brain to follow the logical side of my brain and root for a new team.
Go Duke!!!!!
navParticipantI will be more shocked if KW does NOT xfer than if he does.
navParticipant4 hrs to go….nervous.
03/26/2015 at 3:35 PM in reply to: Pennsylvania Columnist David Jones: “Louisville-NC State could pass for an NIT semifinal” #82762navParticipantSomeone needs to get this article to Lacey. Ya’ll know he loves this stuff and more ammo for the team to get fired up for.
navParticipant^Agreed. I’m more worried about L’ville than Mich St. Mich St. would likely be a 5-7 team in the ACC. These are the teams that State is best at beating. Not to say we’ll beat them but no reason to hope that Ok would be a better team to play.
navParticipantAs much as I hate UNC, and it’s a LOT, it would be pretty amazing to possibly have all 3 triangle schools in the Final Four.
navParticipantAgree with the masses here. I hope the national media disses the hell out of State for the next week. I was hoping that L’ville would lose last night because I almost hate that we beat them a month ago. Even though we really needed that win then.
Bottom line to me, if Turner comes out of his ever-lasting funk, we win this without too much trouble. Bring on Cat 2.0, Monster Abu, Lacey and dare I say Dez Lee, and there is no team left in the East bracket we can’t beat.
navParticipantScrew the people getting upset with what Cat said. People fishing for a story.
navParticipantI need some more test runs of this version of Cat and I can officially upgrade his firmware version from 2.0 to 3.0.
But even if he stays at 2.0, I likey very, very much.navParticipantEveryone here knows we would beat UK and then crap the bed against our next foe. Especially if it is UNC. That’s the State way.
navParticipantBased on the strength of our full resume, I’m feeling a win on Wed=7 seed. Loss=8/9. The selection committee really likes sos, what have you done recently, and big wins. In all categories we are looking really nice.
If the bb gods are in our favor and we beat Pitt and Duke, we could be looking at a 6 seed.
navParticipantYou’re correct. I meant ND. Still better to play than Duke. Plus, I want some payback.
navParticipantWe really need that #6 seed to avoid playing Duke. I would much rather play L’ville…assuming we get past the first game.
navParticipantAgreed Bill, 2.1 does make more sense.
navParticipantBasically, Petrino is who we thought he is, a great fb coach and a lousy human being.
navParticipantYup, I second the congrats. Thanks for the hard work.
navParticipantIt seems this is our curse as a program. Every year around the end of Jan to early Feb we start a losing streak that puts us on the outside of the bubble. Then towards the end of Feb we get hot enough to win a few games to end the season and win the first couple of ACC tourney games to squeak into the Big Dance.
It’s crap like this that make me wish I could just turn in my State fandom lifetime membership card and become a fan of another school. This is endless misery.
navParticipantPerfect. This is where we were meant to be. Heck, we’ve been on the bubble pretty much every year since the middle of the Sendek years.
navParticipantThe ACC schedule this year just seems relentless to me. You would have to say that if we make it into the Big Dance this year, our team will be plenty battle hardened.
navParticipantWell, he obviously did not take a class on acting in college. If he would have went to Duke he would have learned much more on the art of flopping.
navParticipantI agree that Cat needs more bench time. Our whole O just seems to me to run better with Lacey at the point. The twin 1 and 2 take more of Cat’s minutes.
On the flip side, I can see Cat making a big jump over the next couple years but Gott will have to be very patient with him and Cat will have to be willing to take a seat back for a while. Cat HAS to work on his outside shot. With his quickness he can get open, he just can’t plant his feet and make the basket. Seems to me that every time he takes his shot, he looks like he is off balance.
On another note, KW, what in the Hell is up with those crazy looking hook shots. I saw at least 3 in the first half that had no business, none, in going in the basket. It looks like me playing Horse as a kid with my cousins. We would do some time of jumping, twisting, half-blind hook shot. KW must have more confidence in his shot than anyone in the history of the team.
navParticipantSorry, but this is kinda funny…and true.
