MrPlywoodParticipant
26-22. At least I got here after the first quarter.
MrPlywoodParticipant“now that they’re in the Big 10 television market, I’ll actually have to see more of them in the future.”
I get the Big10 Network so I get those games, and with the “new” ACC I get Cuse v. BC or some sh*te as the featured game on my ACC channel from Boston. It used to be that just about any ACC matchup was worth a watch on a chilly winter evening, not so anymore.
*sigh*
MrPlywoodParticipantHere’s the real key to the game… I”m working onsite at a client’s office today and won’t be able to watch at least the first half. So expect State to lead going into halftime. 🙂
MrPlywoodParticipantHere I am late to this thread even though I am partially responsible for its creation 😛
Anyway, I saw G**dman’s “article” on ESPN.com and its brevity betrays J*ff’s pettiness and laziness. J•ff failed to mention that TJ’s season included scoring feats that have not been seen for decades, yet he found the strength to include the jab that State is “likely headed to the NIT”. While accurate, it was clearly intended to slight TJ and the team since J*ff had already explained that he would not vote for him because of the team’s performance.
While I’m at it I’ll bash someone else, Alaa Abdelsnobby, who burped this up at lunch the other day, before the vote was in:
“I love T.J. Warren’s game, but it kind of gets lost in the fact that NC State’s not going to be playing in [the NCAA tournament], unless they do something incredible, but I don’t seeing that happening. He’s an excellent player, but I’m leaning towards [C.J.] Fair or [Jabari] Parker or other guys, just because I’d rather see a guy on the winning team doing that. I don’t want to take away how great of a player he is, I just like to reward teams that also win. Winning is a skill. Winning needs to be rewarded. Is he awesome? Heck yea. Is he a pro? Absolutely, but I worry about a team that hasn’t achieved as much as other teams in the league have, throughout the course of the year.”
I thought Alaa was an educated Dookie. Clearly his reading comprehension skills are lacking since he mentioned “team” 4 times in a blurb about the Player of the Year award.
I’m done now.
MrPlywoodParticipantHey TJ, before you leave how about sharing your summertime workout and diet regimen with BeeJay? Heck, share it with the whole team.
MrPlywoodParticipantVA I was going to mention the snark but didn’t want to give Goodman the satisfaction. It’s an obvious dig, but State fans have bitten yet.
MrPlywoodParticipantJeff Goodman expresses his displeasure at the vote by publishing the dryest, shortest article he could manage on espn.com. pffffft
MrPlywoodParticipantCongrats. Well earned TJ!
MrPlywoodParticipantI’m still not sure how Parker warrants Rookie of the Week since Dook lost to WF. These are team awards, right?
MrPlywoodParticipantfrom the AP article posted via ESPN.com:
“It marked the first time an ACC player scored at least 40 points in consecutive games since Georgia Tech’s Kenny Anderson did it in December 1990, while Warren became the first since 1957 to do it in two straight league games. Overall, only six other ACC players have done it.
Warren is the first N.C. State player to score 40 in consecutive games since program great David Thompson did it in December 1974.”MrPlywoodParticipantThe BJD jinx was strong with this one, but the curse was finally broken.
MrPlywoodParticipantWell that was a rollercoaster.
MrPlywoodParticipantWhy is Buckets inbounding?
MrPlywoodParticipantDes, why you leave a 3 point shooter? Good thing he missed.
MrPlywoodParticipantBut BJ gets the ball.
MrPlywoodParticipantFTs FTs FTs FTs
MrPlywoodParticipantNot the Knicks, unless Phil Jackson signs on.
MrPlywoodParticipantCan Des get a shot off? sheesh
MrPlywoodParticipantAwful defense and no one but TJ can create a shot. BSW has a horrid release, I’m actually surprised when he makes one.
MrPlywoodParticipantNo one was getting looks, they just stood around on both ends.
MrPlywoodParticipantZero movement on O.
MrPlywoodParticipant“what do you do when your neighbor knocks on the back door during a basketball game?”
Wait for the butler to tell me who it is.
MrPlywoodParticipantdistinct lack of energy on the Pack’s part, I need a sense of urgency.
MrPlywoodParticipantupon replay, world class flop, Lebron class
MrPlywoodParticipantflop
