This “death by a thousand cuts” is entertaining, but I wish something concrete would happen. And there’s Willingham in the Twitter feed saying “’05 UNC basketball champs starting 5 +1 took a combined 69 paper classes. truth=transcripts=transparency.” Surely Emmert is following her.
Maybe my post should have been: “If only he had been as quick on D as he is on Twitter.”

I watched a boxing match the other day, white guy vs a black guy, both had black trunks. The announcer said something to the effect of “Smith is wearing black trunks with red trim, Jones is wearing black trunks with green trim.” I laughed at how PC things have become when you can’t just say “Smith is the white guy.” Years ago I played on some city courts in the ATL when I actually had some game. The guys started calling me “Larry Bird” and I told them I’d rather be the “White Spud Webb”. They laughed, and so it was. No harm, no foul.
The conversation for that article is fascinating, with an argument between a couple of law types, one a law student at uNX who is chastising her school, another is an older UVA minted law type.

Back to the HBO exposé, it seems that having two players (and hopefully more to come) speak up about this is a turning point. I’m curious to see if they are treated with the same disdain that Willingham and others speaking out have been subjected to by the uNX Illuminati. The players indicate a clear link between the sports dept. and the phony classes.

I have Dayton in the Sweet 16, but had them losing to Kansas. Now going against Stanford they have a great shot at the 8.
Thanks for the heads up Sacco, I completely zoned on the tourney even after having it in my iCal! I’m trying to find a video feed, but even the NCAA site isn’t carrying it, even though they have Div III Hockey action 😛
