MrPlywoodParticipant
It will be determined that Josh Shaw jumped from a second floor balcony and landed on Boyer, causing the injury.
MrPlywoodParticipantI also like the nickname transformation to “AllDay”… all day long baby, all day long.
MrPlywoodParticipant^ The above posts are why I like reading this forum. I learn something new every day.

MrPlywoodParticipantHang on a second… regular students were able to attend and cheater in those classes too. So it’s all good. At least that’s what I’ve been told.
MrPlywoodParticipantJust to show that State is not the only school that makes poor marketing decisions, the FSU athletic department set up an Ask Jameis hashtag on their Twitter account. Haha, you can imagine the kinds of questions that came in…
One post read: “Do you know that you have to Buy One to get One Free at Publix [Super Markets]?”
Another read: “Who gave you better protection last year — your offensive line or the TPD?”
TPD is shorthand for the Tallahassee Police Department.
“This was doomed from the beginning,” said Robert Stewart, director of the Ohio University school of journalism. “It’s basically a setup. Whoever thought this was a good idea had not done PR 101, which is to think about what all could go wrong. Everything about this was naive.”
MrPlywoodParticipantIt’s why I hate the term NC State sh!t.
Me three.
MrPlywoodParticipantThe rowing machine works well for me, and riding a real bike. I never have been able to run any distance worth a crap. Of course giving up bball would probably do my feet a ton of good, but I’m only young once.
MrPlywoodParticipant‘Stick, I’m sure what you smelled was purely medicinal… they probably grow it out there at Butcharts!
MrPlywoodParticipantTwo years ago I had two stress fractures in my right foot. I play(ed) ball just about year round, with the summer games outdoors on blacktop which surely helped push my tired feet over the edge. I had a bone scan to diagnose, the results of which showed an old, poorly healed avulsion fracture too. I fought the power, then finally broke down and wore the aircast walking boot for 8 weeks. That did the trick.
I also have some bone/arch issues which resulted in my toes giving the Vulcan salute, sometimes the space would be between my second and third toes, sometimes between my third and fourth. Pretty funny looking actually. Luckily one of the guys I play ball with makes orthotics, so he hooked me up with a custom set. He also gave me the aircast, after telling me in no uncertain terms that stress fractures are broken bones. I then passed the cast on to the next guy who needed it 🙂
I currently have a severely sprained ankle which is going on the fourth week. I did that cage-fighting.
MrPlywoodParticipantand I found the best honey ever there on Hwy20
So… details! What was she like?
MrPlywoodParticipantHere in Victoria, BC – the Bermuda of Canada – I don’t know anyone who has AC. We just keep the windows open and let that cool sea breeze flow through. 🙂
It was a sweltering 75 degrees yesterday though, we barely made it through the day.
MrPlywoodParticipantre: important stuff – on the face of it this is a minor example, but it’s attention to detail man! In my opinion, everything counts, or else you end up with “Wolpfack”, ripping off video concepts and field logo ideas from other teams. Instead of “Our State” it becomes “Our Mistake”.
07/29/2014 at 9:08 PM in reply to: NCAA settles head injury suit – Get your head checked on the NCAA\'s dime #53910MrPlywoodParticipantHey C’dog. I’ve seen your posts mentioning Danny. I probably shouldn’t have joked around about a serious situation. The question is legit, but the attempt at humor was not necessary, so I apologize for that poorly worded comment.
MrPlywoodParticipantSorry Bill, I disagree. The graphic is an example of poor punctuation. I’m not critiquing the message, just the execution.
MrPlywoodParticipantMaybe Sir Mix-A-Lot signed on as a sponsor.
MrPlywoodParticipantI don’t know what that body/mind graphic is all about, but the wrong words are in quotes. It should be
When my body shouts “stop”, my mind screams “never”.
Just bugs me to see that. This sort of stuff comes out of NCSU all the time.
MrPlywoodParticipantWhat do you guys amend your red clay with to be able to grow anything? I got two summers of good veggie growth out of my NC garden way back in the early 90’s, then I gave up. Now that I live up here in the Bermuda of Canada, growing tomatoes is nearly impossible for us that live near the straight because it doesn’t stay hot enough. The cool wind blows off the water all the time. I’d need a little greenhouse to have any luck.
MrPlywoodParticipant^ You might have to travel a little bit, but Salt Spring Island grows some of the biggest and best tasting tomatoes on the planet. No red clay there, just hot days, fertile island soil and clear spring water. Best I’ve ever had. Next time I wander over I’ll get you a bushel.
MrPlywoodParticipantre: PJ’s non-agent
“Hairston’s agent, Juan Morrow, identifies himself as a “certified player agent” on his website and social media profiles for his agency, Upside Media Group. According to the National Basketball Players Association, that’s not true.”
hehe
MrPlywoodParticipantAlso… “Gordon was bailed out by Haydn Patrick “Fats” Thomas, who has been linked previously to Hairston as the supplier of a rental car Hairston used while playing for North Carolina. That was declared an improper benefit by the NCAA, eventually resulting in Hairston losing his college eligibility.”
I read that earlier and meant to post it.
And I agree with highstick, re: “…[Emmert] may have to hammer the Holes to keep his job and NCAA relevance.” It certainly seems like a viable strategy right about now.
MrPlywoodParticipantThere’s a distinct air – or should I say stench – of the “too big to fail” mentality going on here. While the NCAA cracks down on athletes using university water to wash a car, they look the other way while the uNX AFAM dumpster fire continues to burn. I will continue to have zero faith in Emmert until he proves otherwise.
MrPlywoodParticipantuNX better get busy printing more of those boilerplate “I got a great education at Carolina” letters.
MrPlywoodParticipantGo big or stay home.
MrPlywoodParticipantJunior’s car is #88, and yesterday he won for the second time in 2014, which is equivalent to State football going 11-1 or maybe undefeated, so there’s that.
