I’d like to have seen FSU vs Bama, FSU win that then lose to the Ducks in the championship. As it is, I’m leaning Ducks all the way.
Citrus Bowl: is Mike Patrick drunk? That booth twosome has been getting all sorts of things wrong in their call.
Side note: The sports channels up here usually show games on the various incarnations of ESPN, and I used to get all the major games on one channel or another. One of those sports channels has been split into 5 variants, of course with two on my plan and the other three not. The 3 I don’t get have the Cotton Bowl, but none are showing the Aub/Wiscy game. One of the originals is showing a lumberjack competition. Grrrr. I guess my already hefty monthly bill just isn’t enough for them.

Great sequence in the Duke game – Blue Devil’s D hold Az St late in the 1st, then Crowder runs the resulting punt back for a TD. What could have become a 27-10 game is now 20-17. Big, big play.
I watched the game backwards, seeing the 2nd half live and the 1st half on PVR. The 1st was more back and forth than I expected. I was impressed with the secondary in the 2nd half, and the O-line overall. Of course they had to make me sweat at the end, but they held it together and pulled out a good win.
I was watching with a buddy and we both noted the difference between O’Leary and DD. One was dour and smirking at his players, the other upbeat and positive throughout. I’m glad we have who we have.
