Anyone else think that the shoulder to BJ’s thigh while he was on the rim was accidentally on-purpose? I’m surprised that something wasn’t called there, even if only a whistle to slow things down to make sure he was OK.
I was at a buddy’s house watching the Packers, and the Pack, wearing out the DVR. Saw State up 4 at the half, bits of pieces of the run to 19 pt lead, then the hectic last 5 minutes. All interspersed with the Packers comeback, sweating the Dez Lee catch/no-catch, and GB’s win.
Reading the game thread is almost as much fun as watching the game, which I’ll go back and view in its entirety later.
Great win for State, proud of the team. Looks like BJ grew up a little today, he could have that stat line every game.
My only note – time to stop rushing the court. 🙂
Funny? How about this pop-up that I keep getting. Seems like a great product, I might have to buy a case.
It’s interesting that it took an accumulation of stuff. The Gugs/Corch debacle should have been plenty.

He was at least doing his part on the pick and roll, that’s all I was talking about. There were several – 6, 7, 8? – times in the 2nd half that BJ rolled to the basket with no one on him, and no pass. That’s all I was saying. The other aspects may play a part, as Jigawatts said, maybe a lack of trust in BJ to finish?
I see plenty of other post players who aren’t world beaters with their floor game, but their teammates get them the ball in point blank range and they finish with a layup or a dunk. With the worlds longest wingspan it seems that the Pack could figure out a way to do the same with BJ.

BJ was doing his part all night (or at least for the 2nd half that I saw), but never got a pass thrown his way.

This one got away quickly. Poor shots, odd moving screen calls (UVA #10 could easily be called for similar), and youth/lack of playing time (not knowing where the other guy is going to be) all conspired…
Seems like “must score” time here down 5. Is it me or have they missed BJ down low a lot? No one is picking him up on the pick and roll.

It appears they can have it both ways. Either they knew, which is cheating, or they didn’t know which is LOIC. Unless the NCAA is going to completely surprise me I fully expect nothing more to happen.
I’d like to hear why the flag was picked up Tex. Perhaps there was a quick call from the network to ensure a GB/Dallas matchup? 🙂
Compounding the intrigue, why was there no flag on Bryant for running on to the field to protest the initial call?

tOSU can’t stand prosperity, 2TD lead then they let Bama chunk a long one to get right back into the red zone… Time will tell.

re: FSU leaving the field, you could say that they weren’t on the field for the second half anyway.
I gotta say, this reminds of the first half of the State/FSU game. State was out of their element though and wasn’t prepared to finish and take that game. From that point I thought FSU was living on borrowed time.
Looks like Glennon will be backing up Mariota next year. Marcus is everything that Manziel wishes he was.
