ParticipantDamn that game had everything. My heart was beating like a 12 year old kid. Loved it! Woohoo!
MrPlywood
ParticipantHell yeah!
MrPlywood
ParticipantThe lack of offensive variety is glaring.
That’s the danger of slowing it down. State already tends to stand around too much.
MrPlywood
ParticipantGrrrrr. Wishin’ and hopin’ don’t work boys. Back to basics.
MrPlywood
ParticipantCan’t really tell on the stream feed, but it looks like Anya has been blocking clean. Glad it’s being called that way.
MrPlywood
ParticipantGrrrr, you can’t wish this one home boys. Keep playing.
MrPlywood
ParticipantRoo, rebounding is Pack 8-25, Holes 4-17

Participantwill determine our faith
My faith was determined a long time ago, it’s our fate I get concerned about π
MrPlywood
ParticipantI think I prefer this lead, will keep their heads in the game.
MrPlywood
ParticipantFree shot at the end there, would have been nice. unx is befuddled, Paige has been locked down.
MrPlywood
ParticipantWin the last 3 minutes boys.
MrPlywood
ParticipantBodes well if refs let the physical play continue.
MrPlywood
ParticipantThe hell was that shot.
MrPlywood
ParticipantI hope the team attended Doeren’s “How to Stomp uNX on Their Own Turf” seminar over the weekend.

Participant4in12 I use TuneIn all the time, both the app and the web version. Both work great for me, but I haven’t looked for a Wolfpack game for a while. All the streams I had bookmarked stopped streaming live games, but I asked about that the other day in a game thread and someone pointed me to some options – of course I forgot what they said π
I’ll be watching on FirstRow.
MrPlywood
ParticipantWell that was a pleasant 11 minutes. I might start showing up late to all the games.
MrPlywood
ParticipantI’ll take credit for this run π
MrPlywood
ParticipantAny stream available for a latecomer?

ParticipantIs it just me, or does it seem like once State beats a ranked opponent they (the opponent) starts to struggle therefore reducing the impact of the win? State beats Duke, Duke then loses to Miami. State beats L’ville, l’ville loses to Cuse and squeaks by Miami. I’m sure that it’s happened in the past as well.
Hang on, let me adjust my tinfoil hat…

ParticipantYep, I’m paying attention. Hopefully I’ll be able to watch on Sunday. A recruit from Cary, Will Clark, is wrestling for his second consecutive State Championship in just a few minutes. He also won the 2014 High School National Championship last year, coming out of a 98 wrestler field that included 20 state champions. The future looks bright.

ParticipantHopefully they will go ahead and cancel school by then (since I know they will eventually) so I donβt have to set my alarm.
Ha. The former school super here in Victoria is a friend of mine. We rarely get snow, so you can imagine the level of driving skills (or lack thereof) when we do. He would ALWAYS wait until the last minute to cancel school, not giving the word until 6:30am ~ 7am. He pissed off many a parent.

ParticipantIt will be interesting to see how this plays out. PastorMatt Krachunis, I’m guessing RW’s pastor, seems to have a vested interest in RW. He once tweeted:
PastorMatt Krachunis @krachunis Β· Feb 1
You can go from being a nobody to Superbowl champion in 3 years.and there are pics of RW at the church with Hawks pics and logos and RW’s number on the screens.

Participant3) Donβt get down. That 78-2 stat with a halftime lead is amazing.
I forgot about that stat. Cards were only up 1 at the half, but that counts.
Someone commented that it did not look like a Blow Out.
I think you’re referring to my comment that the game didn’t look like an “upset”. By that I meant that State looked every bit the equal of L’ville, and not some crazy underdog playing the game of their lives. The Pack looked solid in many aspects yesterday. As I also mentioned, I’m glad that it happened on the road – so no court rush, shake hands, go home, rinse, repeat.
MrPlywood
ParticipantThis game didn’t feel like an “upset” to me. State wasn’t “on fire” shooting out of their minds, they won by playing good D, rebounding and beating their press. I like it.
re: Cat’s confidence, from the AP – “My confidence keeps getting higher and higher,” Barber said after scoring 21 points, his third 20-point effort in the last four games. “Coaches keep telling me, `Be me. Be Cat and do what Cat does best.’ I think I’ve taken that under consideration.” π
MrPlywood
ParticipantOne aspect I really liked is that once the Pack beat the press, they continued to attack when the opportunity presented itself, and made L’ville pay quite a few times. In previous games they’d get across half court and then take a break to reset, which allowed the opponent to reset as well.
