If he just rediscovers the HippoHOOK he will be a force of nature.
I got a chuckle yesterday when BJ had the ball and was wide open at the foul line, and no clue what to do. No one was within 5 feet of him. I think State was up 19 so not a big deal. But, it would be nice for him to develop some go to moves, like the hook shot.
I had the thought last night that in the State/Duke/cheats round robin State and Duke each went 2-1 and the Cheats went 1-3.
Had that thought too night Tex, made me smile.
Dook looked tough against the Holes. Hit some dagger threes toward the end, and made a ton of FTs down the stretch. That game reminded of State’s beatdown of the Holes – State didn’t score as much, but made timely baskets and backed it up with tough defence and forced turnovers. Jones was using the same controlled speed, stops and starts, that Cat did. That really boggles the Hole big men. I see a short run in the NCAA for UNCCH.
Alpha, that story was initially a separate article posted during the game. Like you, I’m not sure what the point was/is. It’s certainly not the first time JB has been booed, and the YMCA song is funny as hell. I don’t think either qualifies as taunting. If it does, as you alluded to, there would be an article accompanying every Dook game.

Anya has also benefitted from Abu and Frenchie playing solid which allows him to stay with his man until some unwise perimeter guy provides the meat for a basketball sandwich.

Bill, re: Anya, I was going to post during the game that it seems like the “book” on BJ has been edited. He has improved his positioning and timing, but I think he was unfairly called for fouls earlier this year. Now he’s getting the benefit of the doubt in the positive direction.
