Watching the end of game here reminds me of how State got so much better at handling the press. That seemed to take place around the emergence of of Cat 2.0.
And eff Jones and his schmacting. Just play.

Just found the NBA rule, I’m assuming that the NCAA is the same. That’s the right call. If the ball hits anything other than a player, it’s out on whoever touched it last. If it hits a player who is out, it’s “out” on that player. I learn something new every day. Still doesn’t seem logical though.
Am I crazy or are they getting that out of bounds call wrong? The Zag player is already out, so essentially he’s like a chair or any other “out” object, right? I’ve seen that call numerous times in the tourney.
^^And yet, State had the lead with 6 minutes to go. That’s when the Gill show started and State missed jumpers and had a couple of turnovers. Game, set, match. State didn’t close. Hopefully that experience will pay off next year.
The USA Today Coaches Poll comes out after the tourney. I bet that State gets some votes but doesn’t make the top 25.
