More grist for the mill. When interviewed at the U19 tourney, GP mentions State first, didn’t mention Oregon at all. He does mention Kentucky, but as the article notes Kentucky sources say he’s off the table. The article says that State seems to have the inside track and is the best fit.
GP says that he’ll make his decision after the U19 tourney.

Regarding specifics I meant how the plan was set up at unx, as in the who, what, where, etc. I’m sure that Roy know the framework, but they were smart enough to build in plenty of plausible deniability for him.

Roy may well not have known the specifics, since he didn’t set up the plan. I can imagine that when he was brought in he was just told not to worry about the grades, that it was all taken care of. Hell, there might not have even been a conversation.

Where did you see that 85? I’ve seen Oregon mentioned a lot. (Oregon?) As well as others, with State sometimes listed and sometimes not. Most of the articles seem like wishful thinking, “what if” pieces.
Annnnnd cue the gnashing of teeth over the “innocents” whose education and diplomas are now and/or would be tainted by the actions of their university should unx lose accreditation. Cry me a river. Your university chose to go down this path, time to pay the price. The ironic thing is that while many fanboys think that their “it’s not an athletic issue, it’s an academic issue” mantra and will keep their fake legacy intact, the fact is that the academic prong and related aspects could prove to be much more serious issues.

Everyone knows that is an issue at all schools, but unx’s propaganda campaign, otherwise known as The Carolina Way, pulled the wool over their own sheep for years. Hell, I’d say a majority of their fan base still believes in the fairytale of across the board high-achieving athletes with incredible graduation rates.

This is a recurring theme in many posts by unx supporters. The rogues are gone, so no harm, no foul. Problem solved. There’s so much rationalization, deception and covering up going on over there they should get their own reality show on TLC to air right after the Duggar’s (yeah, they’ll be back).

And other fan bases have jumped on the bandwagon too, comment sections are repeating the facts and beating back the Heel apologists. We are no longer lonely voices in the wilderness, plenty of other people have connected the dots and know how schools with smaller infractions have been taken to the woodshed.
