ParticipantLookit Al passing it out instead of forcing a shot – nice! BB-10 back in the game.

ParticipantLOL @ “result type of play”… it’s a foul or it’s not. Sadly, I know it’s called that way plenty of times.

Participantturnovers – LOU 8, PACK 1 – yet State only leads by 2…
MrPlywood
ParticipantWell it puts Clemson back to 11-7, which State can get to with a win. Then hope for uNx to lose (as always) which would put them at 11-7 and in a 4 way tie for 3rd with State, Clemson and Miami. After that I don’t know.

ParticipantDo we want Clem or Cuse?

ParticipantI think Y7 could be “faster” with improved footwork, better positioning and court awareness. He seems to get caught trying to guard a quicker, smaller guy which will always make a big guy look slow. Some of the adjectives used to describe his play just don’t seem fair to me.

ParticipantFouls before Dorn T 5-4
Fouls after Dorn T 14-6That stretch reminded me of the the 2012 game at Dook. State’s up 16 at the half, then early in the second half pop, pop, pop… (and not in a good way) the foul calls start. Leslie, Williams and Howell fouled out, Woods had 3. We joke about the “word” coming down, but I think that had more to do with K getting his way and individual refs feeling their oats and wanting to be part of the game. Funny how the trailing team needs to be aggressive yet the leading team gets called. Huh.
IMO that was TVTed’s intention last night. State has enough problems with self-inflicted wounds and shouldn’t have to be concerned with a ref’s ego. I used to read a bball official’s forum and there were/are lots of posts about whacking/popping a coach (calling a tech) and they come off as a bunch of thin-skinned prima donnas.

ParticipantHoly crap what happened at the end of the Hoos game? LOU up 2 with 1 second to go, VA gets three free throws and makes them all to win? ESPN tracker says made 3, CBS says 3 FTs…
MrPlywood
ParticipantWell that sucks.
MrPlywood
ParticipantMan, I hate a tight game when I’ve got the officiating wildcard in the back of my mind… or front.
MrPlywood
ParticipantLOU up 10 on VA with ~10 to go…
MrPlywood
ParticipantDid I say something about composure?
MrPlywood
ParticipantI don’t think it dislocated tech guy jumped on it with both feet looked like.
Yeah. It looked like trouble initially, seems like he’ll be OK.
MrPlywood
ParticipantHope that isn’t dislocated.
MrPlywood
ParticipantNo stupid plays and only a couple of questionable ones.
This team seems to keep their composure despite the officiating. I would have trouble keeping my cool.
MrPlywood
ParticipantTeddy needs to go.
MrPlywood
ParticipantGot my stream synced with the Wolfpack Network radio, the best of both worlds. Damn, lotsa quick tweets.

ParticipantESPN has it 68% chance of a Pack win, despite a 4 game win streak against a 7 game losing streak, and a scoring disparity of 81ppg for State vs. 65ppg for GT. Hmmmmm… Just TCB boys.
MrPlywood
ParticipantIMO Oklahoma’s case is a problem too, they are currently 2-8 in their last ten, but RPI remains at 36 and Dancecard has them at 33. Lunardi still has them as a 10. The eye test tells me that State (and many other teams) are far better right now.
MrPlywood
ParticipantBetter tell the guys to tone it down a little, Lunardi has State as a 9 seed which of course would most likely mean a #1 in the second round. I still like the 11/12 seed which means a matchup with a plenty beatable 5/6 first round opponent and a 3/4 in the second…
