Wilson-Frame is going to have a career night shooting from three
WolfWiz11ParticipantGod, I want us to win so badly
WolfWiz11ParticipantKeats has managed to deal with issues as they arrive. Obviously end of game stuff is far from perfect but at least we now have a reasonable chance of hitting those late game free throws. I’m with Grey let the man do his thing. From what I have seen so far he is doing very well.
Wait, did I initially say anything bad about Keatts? He’s done a bang-up job, more than I expected, and I think he has great character. However, I’d like to close out games without having a heart attack. That’s a little bit of coaching, but I also think it’s mostly the players executing properly.
WolfWiz11ParticipantWe need to work on inbounding the ball in late game situations. At least Keatts took that TO.
This observation would have been brilliant — had it been made before the last 2 minutes of the game. Made after the game it almost insults our intelligence.
If any of us have ever coached at any level, we know that teams have multiple coaching and/or training needs. You could say that the games are played to see what we need to practice or teach. Before last night’s game we had many needs (and still do) with a higher priority than the last 2 minutes when we are ahead by 6 or 8 points.
Keatts is exceeding expectations. Let the man do his thing.
Touche. It wasn’t meant to insult our intelligence, but merely to point out a weakness I’ve seen, not just with this team last night, but on other nights this season and last season. Keatts so much as said the same thing in his post game presser. Another thing to work on is rebounding in general. None of our bigs ever have big rebounding games, at least not consistently. I mean, 6 boards, Abu? Yurt7 with 4? Though, he scored the ball lights out. Dorn, a guard, is our top rebounder. That’s weird to me. So merely pointing out things that would help us to keep leads, extend them, even when there are ten minutes left in the game. We’re great at applying defensive pressure. Saw that last night. But we also have our issues when it’s applied on us.
WolfWiz11ParticipantWe need to work on inbounding the ball in late game situations. At least Keatts took that TO.
WolfWiz11ParticipantOnly we could make this game interesting with under 2 mins to go.
WolfWiz11ParticipantWe have to score… Right?
WolfWiz11ParticipantWant to win to wipe that constant douche face off Miller’s head.
WolfWiz11ParticipantGah screw Sean Miller, man. The whole family.
WolfWiz11ParticipantFuc the refs. This is why ppl hate the NCAA so much.
WolfWiz11ParticipantUh oh announcers getting excited.
Hate when they get excited about us. Everything always goes to crap when that happens.
WolfWiz11ParticipantI don’t know if we can withstand this run. We don’t create enough free throws the way they do. Blame the zebras, I guess. And our defense has been fouling too much.
WolfWiz11ParticipantI don’t know what to say.
WolfWiz11ParticipantYurt7 needs to dunk it EVERY time. Not strong enough to try the finesse game as a big man in the states. If he can get stronger, rebound, and block shots.
WolfWiz11ParticipantNice defense. Haven’t stopped em recently, though. Also, we need Yurt and Abu to be BIG tonight. Not seeing it so far. Need to get some threes.
WolfWiz11ParticipantI hate everything
WolfWiz11ParticipantJust going to leave these here:
WolfWiz11ParticipantYou know, any other self-respecting school would have self-imposed a post-season ban. But not these bastards. If it were Minnesota or some nobody, the NCAA would have banned them from a post-season or two. But not these cocksuckers.
WolfWiz11ParticipantWin or lose… do ya’ll THINK Carowhinner fans will complain about the refs?????
Duh…
Win – yes
Lose – yes
WolfWiz11ParticipantIs that FOUR fouls on Collins? Wow, the refs are fixing this game. Let the boys play, it’s the daggum championship!
WolfWiz11ParticipantKarnowski will get it together in half 2.
I’ve been waiting all game, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen. He and Collins are both out of it tonight.
WolfWiz11Participant-
How is it that EVERY game the Holes play, there are BLATANT no-calls that hurt the other team? Kentucky got robbed in that first half.
WolfWiz11ParticipantA little part of me just died.
I emailed Yow back in Feb, before she fired Gott. This morning, as I was watching this saga unfold, here and on Twitter, I considered emailing her again. But like most of you, I think I’m done caring. Clearly, our administration is happy with remaining the laughingstock of the Triangle.
WolfWiz11ParticipantLet’s face it, we got into those NCAAs by the skin of our teeth; we were constantly sweating it out come Selection Sunday. Except for maybe 2012, but that season we were preseason #6 and did not come close to living up to the hype. I, too, was pissed when I read Gott’s comments.
WolfWiz11ParticipantHe completely ignores the fact that one of those Sweet 16 runs was pure luck due to a shot by BEEJAY ANYA, a mostly defensive player who he refused to play this year. And the first Sweet 16 run was just unexpected by most people in, out, and around the program, but easily explained due to a REALLY talented, but underrated and under-achieving, team he inherited from Sidney Lowe. Nothing about the letdown of 2012 nor the last two seasons. The TJ Warren ACC POY season was confusing and frustrating, I’ll give him that.
