Ok, Lewis comes in plays great and our forwards start clogging the lanes, forcing turnovers. Great zone defense, glad to see they heard our cries.
Anyone see Dez at the end of that last offensive play? He was so butthurt that he didn’t get the ball, but in his defense, he was wide open. But hey, a bucket’s a bucket.

I will admit that neither of our PGs can shoot, and our players, in general, are poor free throw shooters. Really tough to watch Cat put up these horrible shots. And we aren’t rebounding the ball at all.
They’ve taken twice as many free throws as we have. All on bullsh*t foul calls. Meanwhile, Cat gets laid out going to the rim, and the refs shove their eyes up their asses.
@spintk I have been feeling that way about Gott this season. I saw signs of poor game management last year. This year, it’s clear as day. I’m expecting Yow to have a serious conversation with him at the end of what will surely be a subpar season.That full court press just made no sense, WF had way too much time on the clock, they didn’t need a long entry pass. We should have been protecting against an easy bucket down low, make someone get open to take a contested three. And this is just our defensive deficiencies. Haven’t even started on offense.
Why play full court D w/ 2 players back when there’s 10 secs left? Intuitively, wouldn’t you want them to just bring the ball up, you meet em at half court and force someone to get up and take a long, contested shot?
I don’t know why I keep watching our games. Youth is no longer an excuse. It’s a problem of inability, and these are Gott’s guys, so there must be a coaching problem. Our defense is poor; can’t defend without fouling. And our offense is stagnant, we really need to run a different offense with this team.
Our guys still have not adjusted to the new ACC officiating. That foul trouble was brewing midway through the 1st half. As Warren goes, so does the fate of our team. And BSW with the superfluous three . . . .
I’m very tired of blaming the offiiciating. At some point we have to hold the coaches and players responsible. Our guys have had enough time to adjust to these new rules. Just very questionable decisonmaking. For instance, why did Cat drive in hoping to get a foul when he was only 2/4 from the line? Should have been Warren. To that point, what happened to Warren in the last 10 minutes of the game? Why did kyle washington jack that three so early? Gottfried may not be the man for the job seeing as he can’t inspire our guys to keep a 10-pt lead against an overrated team with an overrated coach.
