One-man bandWarren needs to come back. He’s not ready. He isn’t going to get inside on a Serge Ibaka and his three ball is not there. And you don’t set a bunch of records and then lose your last game like this. If he has any pride he’ll be back.
I put this on both the staff and the players. We need to coach that defense wins games. And the players definitely need to work on their IQs and there free throws (obvi). Leonard Freeman should have had that last rebound and gone back up. Warren left a bunch of points on the table. I’m sick. Time to drown this bottle of ten year Henry McKenna. FML.
Loving the Ratatat.
This team will be hard to beat if it continues to play the way it did last night. Everyone contributed; even Cat, despite leaving the game. Really impressed by Vandy and WBS. Hopefully the guys will continue to play with a chip on their shoulders. A Sweet 16 run is definitely doable if we give a solid effort on both ends of the floor for 40 minutes (not overlooking tomorrow night’s game against St. Louis).
TJ actually took leadership classes last offseason. I like his type of leadership. Other members have said this; but I really do like how this team seems to enjoy playing with each other. No big egos and they all really root for TJ. Go Pack!
Proud of our boys. ^ Definitely in if we had won at Cuse or against the Holes in PNC. History will remember this year as one of “what ifs.” Still holding out hopes that TJW will come back to claim glory for NC State, first marquee guy we’ve had in a while who I truly feel bleeds red and white and with the pedigree to boot. I think he should have the same mentality as far as Paige; it would be a mistake for Paige to go as Paige still has things to work on (putting on weight). TJ has got to improve his outside shot and he could improve his bball IQ, stop with the ticky tacky reach in fouls. Nevertheless, if he does leave, hats off to him. Future ACC Legend.
We’re doing solid, just have to shore up our defensive rebounding. Duke had too many second chances at three. Other than that, Buckets has to re-emerge and stay out of foul trouble. Loving the contributions from Vandy, Freeman, and Cat so far, gotta keep it up. I’d like to see Anya have an imprint on this game defensively.
As far as fatigue, three games in three days will do that I guess. But I do believe we are playing with no fear here, as we should seeing as we GOTT nothing to lose, backs against the wall here. Time to go balls out. Cat and Le Nard are stepping up today.
The key to a victory today is the play of our bigs and that of Hipster Cat. Gotta help Buckets out, while minimizing the turnovers. Smart play from Cat so far, playing with patience and slowing it down.
