What f*ckery is this? And I’m on Comcast Xfinity, anyone know where I can catch the game? All I see on ESPN3 is women’s soccer.

Yea that definitely makes the whole moped thing a glaring overreaction. Bet Coach D wishes he could have that one back. Kids will be kids. Least he wasn’t drunk.

I’m hoping Maverick Rowan picks up where Kyle left off, albeit with better defense. If that happens, then the question marks for me are 1) who spells Cat when he tires, 2) scoring/rebounding from our bigs, 3) Henderson/Turner, 4) who takes big shots? I do think the Martin twins will show us something this year and perhaps one of them has the moxy to serve as a ballhandler….

I do see him getting significant PT this year. As long as we can spread the minutes around, keep the twins, Abu, and Anya happy, I see this as a great TEAM. Only worried about potential logjams we have at forward.

Sounds like Trevor didn’t have faith in the process. And when you don’t have faith in the process, you set yourself up to fail. He would have gotten major press next year; All-ACC maybe. At the very least, he could have been part of another special run in the tourney, which would propel his name.

Look, most nurses make decent money. My mom’s a nurse. But he made a hard choice and hopefully it pans out.

Well let’s not bash the kid, potential recruits are reading these forums ๐Ÿ˜‰ I don’t know what that means as far as lineups. Are we starting Henderson at the 2, Caleb at the 3, and then sticking Kirk in there to backup Caleb? I’d still like to get a PG.

Brandon Ingram watch. Announcement around 6pm today. Sweating balls, angsting over here. Gut tells me Duke.

To clarify, I don’t see Cat being ready to leave after next season. And I’m iffy on Anya from an offensive/physical stamina standpoint. But Abu could, if he takes another big leap and continues his stud-like play. And it would mean major props to Gott IMO.

I don’t think it’s negative to point out reality. It is disconcerting to not have a single recruit, burger boy or not, for this fall. Add that to the likelihood of Cat, Anya, and Abu leaving next year, and it is scary. But, what will be, will be.

Not surprised by the news on Newman. That’s where an elite 8 appearance might have helped our recruiting. Just to get us over the hurdle.

Canโ€™t believe I am still reading complaints about how the season ended.

Yea sorry, I’m just kinda tired of the NFL Winston vs Mariota talk and not interested in the NBA playoffs. I’m ready for bball season again ๐Ÿ™‚

Frankly, I feel Cat getting sick was wholly due to nerves. That’s when we lost the game. When you’re elite, you don’t get nervous in big moments. You capitalize.

It would be great to land Newman or Ingram, but what’s the chance of that happening, realistically? I look at the other teams on Ingram’s list and I flinch. I respect Gott for being in the mix. I’m also sure he has a contingency plan in place. Also, props to him for not making any comments, good or bad, regarding TL’s departure. DD, take note.

The KW thing is baffling to me. I wholeheartedly agree with the comments saying he won’t be an impact player in D1 as a transfer. He’s gonna have exactly the same role. Unless he steps up his defense; in which case, why couldn’t he do that for us? So it’s a strange move. I think Gott clearly trusted him enough to thrust him in the game when we needed baskets. That alone should have told him it was only his defense holding him back. Which is what I just don’t understand, as he could have clearly improved on that side of the ball.

There’s still the chance that one or both of the twins develops into a starter. Also, maybe this makes State a more viable option for other recruits. Silver linings?

I CAN and DO actively support any other ACC schools. Just canโ€™t do it for the blues.

I’m not there yet, but maybe one day I will be able to root for other ACC schools at that point. I do like ND because one of my best friends is an alum, so I was rooting hard for them against Kentucky. My philosophy once State loses is to root for my favorite teams/coaches outside of the Blues. Kansas has been a favorite ever since they knocked off UNX years back, but I knew they weren’t going anywhere this year. And I’ve always respected and liked Pitino. I just can’t root for the other Triangle teams.

I wish we weren’t preseason ranked. Paints a target on our backs, teams are gonna give us their best every night. I guess one could say that is to be expected and the guys should understand that, but, 2012. The world really did end that year.

I have never understood cheering for Duke as a means to get at U*NC. Makes no sense to me.

THIS. I have never understood those State fans who will root for Dook or UNX simply b/c they are the last ACC teams in the tourney. Are you kidding me? I would rather root for Satan himself. Hell, I won my bracket group last night only because Wisconsin lost (2nd place had them winning), yet I was STILL rooting against Dook. All another championship does is give them more reason to hold their noses up at us. I can respect the coaches, and I do, but damn it, I will NEVER root for them.

At least Bilas admitted that was a horrible charge call on the Wiscy player. I’m still irked that ppl are concentrating on the missed shot clock violation. What about that bogus charge call? What about the missed flagrant foul? Wisconsin deserved that game and the refs tried to take it away from em. Shame on you, NCAA.
