My Fins suck. If not for Jarvis Landry heroics, we would be 0-4. Guess I’ll be pulling for Philip and Russell.
^ A memorable Halloween would be extremely special. We have a legit chance at being 7-0 when IPTAY comes to town. I’m all about a cupcake for the first game of the season, mainly just to get your ducks in a row and see how the boys compete when everything is live. I would like to see a marquee OOC match up every year during week 2 or 3 followed by a “cupcake” for our 4th contest to heal, tend to wounds.
Signing Kirk is significant for several reasons.
1) Adds immediate depth. I will say Kirk is someone who could end up starting immediately. He is a 3/4 who has all the tools except ball handling.
2) Team Loaded is one of the best AAU teams in the entire country. Team Loaded is also an Adidas affiliate. If you don’t think that is important treat yourself to the 30 for 30 titled “Sole Man.” I know without a shadow of doubt that was one of the reasons he chose us over UK.
3) Pipeline with Team Loaded? Hopefully. It has already been discussed that 2 of his teammates (Smith, Adebayo) are being sought after by Gott. Hopefully kids from TL continue to come to us just like kids from Dematha have come to us since the 80’s.I coach at Reagan High in Winston Salem and have had the opportunity to see this kid play in person. He is a helluva basketball player who I believe would come in and start right away for the Pack. He will sign if he looks at the logistics. His coach is being a douche and just wants to say ” I coached a kid who went to Kentucky.”
That is a big concern I don’t care how many “offseasons” you divide it by.

Amen to that. I like the fact he had the testicular fortitude to have faith in the guys returning. It’s a GD Greek tragedy the way things are playing out 🙁

I beg to differ about Anya. The only guy we have that has a legit future in the league is Abu (maybe Cat). We call him Aladdin around the house. I blame my daughter. Anya doesn’t have the work ethic needed and the NBA game is way to dag on fast for him. Sorry guys. He can waste away in Iceland or Serbia if he chooses to go.
Don’t mean to rain on Trevor’s parade but this move is idiotic on his part. He is leaving a situation where he is the man, the go to guy at the end of games, the leader, possibly ACC first team, etc, etc, etc. He is guaranteed next season in a Wolfpack jersey, maybe his last season ever in a basketball uniform. He may never play overseas let alone in the NBA. I just don’t get it. I’m sick and tired of having to learn new rosters every f@cking season. Someone is not being honest with Lacey and shame on them. Gott’s recruiting, but it is seniors not freshmen. There are over 700 players transferring this year and I guarantee Gott is looking for someone of the Alex Johnson model.
Don’t argue with each other guys. We are all frustrated and tired of being blue balled. I understand that. What I do know is our coach has got to be better. I know he will self evaluate himself because this is not the outcome he wanted for the season. There were several situations tonight where he needed to intervene and instead he continued to just let the boys play. Yes, the ballers are the ones that are inside the black lines and the ones who uLtimately have to make the plays, but the coach has to be the one to correct their mistakes and put them in position to suceed. Personally I didn’t see a whole lot of it tonight.
Oh the CUNNING cam….. Makes me feel like Spacey from American Beauty. WORK IS DRAGGING ASSSSSSSSSS. Should have taken a sick day.

The amount of shi#y beer that I have drank in my lifetime is exponentially greater than the good stuff I’ve consumed.
I will be drinking my PBR for the third time during the tournament. Funny how a tourney run can make you feel like you’re a college kid again.
The stars have aligned for us to have a fighting chance. At the end of the day that is all we ca ask for. I’m very proud of these guys for what they’ve accomplished and like you said WolfWiz, who saw this coming?

Prayers up for your pops. I now have another reason why I want the Pack in the Final Four.I’m worried about Louisville period. We can worry about Izzo or Kruger later. I do fully expect Michigan State to win because of Izzo though. Of course the same could be said about Kruger as well.
While I’m at it, how do y’all feel about the season as of right now. Are yall happy to be here, everything else is gravy, will be pissed if we lose or sacrifice a kitten if we don’t win the NC? Reason I ask is that my buddy is just glad we made it this far while I’m over here like f*ck that. Am I being irrational if I expect us to AT LEAST be in the Final Four?
