“The Fighting Foreign Whities” (Saint Mary’s) is fun to watch. Guess we will see how good of a coach Wade is after halftime. So far they have not responded well to his coaching. Looks familiar. Marshall or bust for me. Saw where Moton was getting some interest from Arkansas State. Good for him. Are Randy Bennett and Herb Sendek brothers?
I don’t think Archie has the kahunas to come to State. I don’t care for Wade all that much because he inherited a good program that was built by Capel/Grant/Smart and sustained it. Maybe we get surprised? I’d throw dollars at Marshall, Drew or Underwood but I don’t know the financial side of what we can afford or offer.
The Thad Matta situation definitely help us out. Archie will be treated like a king if he comes back to Raleigh. Hopefully he’s successful if he decides to make the jump. I’d hate for him to come and struggle. I wish coaches were jockeying to be here like it was the fight for King’s Landing.
I would like to see us reach out to Scott Drew. Call me crazy but I don’t see him wanting to stay at Baylor due to all the allegations going on in Waco. He’s been to several elite 8’s and recruits kids from all over the country. I want Archie but I’m not sure he is coming home. I think Marshall is to egotistical to come and likes being the man where the sport he coaches is top dog (It use to be baseball at Wichita State.) If Boeheim hangs it up I could see him going to Syracuse. I think if we called Marshall a p*ssy if he didn’t accept the job offer here that he might end up taking it.
Anyone be against Whittenburg finishing the year as the head coach? I’m sure someone has brought it up and I’m just repeating it. I think the kids would play hard the rest of the season listening to someone else.
The lunatic fringe is in full swing. Tonight is going to be interesting. I could see us winning and pulling some ncstatesh!t and i could see us losing by 60. Does stuff get thrown out on the court tonight? It could get really ugly tonight…. Real f’n ugly.
At the end of the day, the administrations goals should be our goals. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.
By the way….. Over the last 13:44 of the game, we were outscored 41-18. The Pack women were getting their ass handed to them the last time I checked.
My heart tells me Archie but my brain tells me Keatts. I’d give Hoiberg a chance to but he would leave for his alma mater when given the chance.
Hard to believe we are only down by 12. I wouldnt make it in today’s coaching world. I’d rip their asses at HT. I’m more of a Huggins guy, yelling and getting DUI’s.
Gott’s comments about the game:
“Don’t care. Don’t care if you do. Hell, I don’t really give a sh*t if anybody does. We got better tonight. You know we’ve played four games in the league, three have been on the road. Most people think BC is just not very good but they’re wrong. They beat Providence, beat Syracuse, they’re a good team. So our team got better tonight and it’s a long season and we’ve got a lot of young players playing. I know our team got better and we’re are going to keep getting better and go from there.”
No words. What I see is not a team but 5 individuals on the court, trying to get their piece of the pie. We will be better off when DSJ is in the NBA. You can see the resentment towards him from the other guys. Supposedly, there was 20 scouts in attendance so of course DSJ, Yurt and Anya were going to play street ball and try to get noticed. Tonight was a damn shame.
When you see a pattern of bad play it is not on the players it is the coaching. Not just head coach but all coaches.

Why I’m vocal is because we’re fixing to miss on him in the same way we’ve missed on Marshall, Smart and others because we’re holding out some crazy hope that patience with Gott will finally be rewarded.
