Was 54-52, we had the ball with chance to tie and Abu lost it. All of a sudden down 10

Down 6 – would rather be up 6 at the half but we will be OK. I think we were basic 1st half, not allowing Roy to make adjustments at the half. 2nd half, we will come out differently without giving them a chance to adjust. We will be fine.

Kyle is the guy you would trust with your wife or girlfriend – you know he is not going to make a pass!

Some people need to step away from the ledge.

This was a bad loss, no doubt about it. Not bad because it was a D-II team and this is a team that will likely be a team in the NCAA field of 68. It was a bad loss because of the effort, which Gott already called out.

Can he fix it? Who knows, but give the man a chance. Name a team that does not have a bad game from time to time. Kentucky sleepwalked through a game 2 weeks ago against Columbia – really? Should Calislimy be fired and KY fans up in arms because a bunvh of 18 year old kids with other things on their minds had an off night? Had KY played Cincy that night instead of Columbia, they would have lost that game.

Is Gott the best coach in the league? No, but is Coach K? His teams seem to have a game or two like this every year, Lehigh and Mercer to name a few. He sounded really upset and disappointed – the things they had been working on were completely lost and he took the blame for some of that.

Who would you rather have right now leading this team? Robinson, HWSNBN, Lowe, or Gott?

In the words of V, who probably had more WTF losses than any coach, DONT GIVE UP, DONT EVER GIVE UP!

I have a silly question – who decided for the Cincy game to be at 4:00 on Tuesday, a normal “work day”? Students are gone. People who work are actually working Tuesday before New Years break. RBC will be lucky to have family and close friends there and a quiet crowd. If it were New Year’s Eve, I would get a 4 start. New Year’s day I would get a 4 start.

I was wanting to go and was going to buy tickets but not at 4.

Gowolves, if you are referring to my comment – I agree wholeheartedly. Turnovers ARE a big part of the game and I was making silly “what-if” comments. We can make what if comments for or against, but the point is that what if is totally irrelevant. The plays against GA So and Cuse happened and we won.

I dont think anyone is saying we had a successful season because the boys in baby blue (although now seems black or navy are their primary football colors) are struggling.

We finished 8-5. a marked improvement over 3-9. We can sit here all day long and say “what-if” – what if the GA Southern QB had not fumbled on the 1 yard lone. What if Pharoah had not had the pick 6 against the Cuse, so what? It happnened and we won the games.

Look at it another way – what if it had not rained a gully washer against BC? What if we did not give up a fumble for TD against GT? We actually were toe to toe with GT and had the momentum until the crucial events of the 2nd qtr, at which point we were totally demoralized. What if we dont drop a pass against FSU to keep a drive alive, or protect Jacoby just once in the critical time FSU made their rush? What if Dabo had waited a couple more weeks to insert a new QB? What if Karl Hess had not T’d up Gott – those two free throws early were the difference in a one point game. What-if what-if what-if?

As for the rough times in Orange County, we State fans only gloat because of the irony of the of “the Carolina Way”. We gloat because Swofford not only was involved but has done everything he can to help them through this process – what has he done for other conference schools in trouble? Nothing.

That was only 5 steps – only 1 more than Ralston took on his long 3 from the Wolf’s mouth. Turner caught it, took 2 steps, and then another double hop. Cant believe it was not called.

Just watched YouTube of it, maybe it was one of the other ones, could be mistaken.

Oh yeah and as for the TV money, AD’s want every dollar they can get, but the TV dollars far exceed a few thousand butts in seats.

There is nothing like watching a gamin the stadium and the atmosphere involved.

Yes 13OT, the hot side of the stadium is miserable early in the year, even for night games, but the noon games should be outlawed. But the teams have no choice – you play when TV tells you to play, no ifs ands or buts.

I almost did not buy tickets this year because of the crummy schedule and lack of marquee home games (except FSU). I am glad I did though, nothing like game day on a fall Saturday, tailgating, spending time with friends and family. Even for the road games we would get together at someone’s house and watch, maybe even eat like a tailgate and play cornhole but it is not the same as being there in the CF lots.

I am sorry but Gary “check it” Hahn is an embarrassment to us. His professionalism is fine, but he has no knowledge of the game. I know the job of the color guys are to add the expert opinion but the play by play guy is always much better when he understands the game.

Just as an update – I heard HWSNBN has pulled his name from consideration. And since that occurred, Wiscy has decided to hire Paul Chryst away from Pitt.

A proposal was never given. Yes, it was going to be big bucks, and before numbers were even discussed they dissed the idea. They had done something like that for the all-star game as a one time deal, and they decided it was not worth the effort on an every day basis. I would say it was about 2 years ago. The digital content creator I brought in has won awards in NY and Boston for digital projection on buildings and other pixel mapping creations.

Their point in rejection was that was cool but it was not going to sell tickets. Raising ticket prices and cutting down on the promos this year has not sold tickets either……….

Pretty cool stuff – oh yeah, that is what I do for a living. My company does the hardware and I brought in a guy that does the digital graphics. We were told thanks but no thanks as this would be very expensive. Oh well, maybe one day but the ROI is difficult to justify.

I would expect DD to be a candidate, and hopefully he says no thanks.

As for the fix, NO WAY. NO WAY that many people are in on it, no way the players had any reason to tank it, and without the players being involved it would be impossible. It only takes 1 to blow the scheme and when the heat is on the canaries will sing.
