While State was lining up for the win I began to realize I would have to follow through on the big talk.

So I’m wondering where to find a pair of 1982 New Balance 576s, how will I really attempt to eat the damn things, and will looking like a damn fool be worth watching half of Anderson County jump in the Seneca River?

The most physical game I have seen by State in 10-15 years.

I was right outside the stadium, 50 ft from the damn thing, pouring down Bud Light and a few gentleman Jacks.

Went in for the 2nd quarter enough to taunt and then retreated to the parking lot again.

I knew the defensive line was decent but they butchered ClemPson today.

I was ready to eat the damn things.

I was at the game and State was much more physical than I expected.

    They hammered ClemPson.

I thought the execution was excellent on the last drive.

    Beyond that, no damn comment.

I’m up at 3:43 am because of a crappy umpire last night at a baseball game. He missed 3-4 easy calls which costed my team 3 runs. It is a meaningless game but I have not slept and I am pissed.

NOW, if any of you think State has a rat’s ass chance in hell of beating ClemPson then you are more insane than I am. Their defensive line will eat up State’s front, their wide outs will gain space and allow Deyshawn to do most whatever he wants to do. Dapper Dave fired the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR after all and the 33 that ECU put up will look gentle.

So I haven’t slept, the wife only has damn decaf in the house, Trump likes hot women, I’m going to the ClemPson game Saturday and some of you are still drinking the Flavor-aid (Jim Jones gave them Flavor-aid not Kool-aid).

Get off of it already. Worry about something more meaningful like a home town umpire with a stange birthmark on his face and awful eyesight.

    Peace out

When you do, I highly suggest you leave out the part about one of the kid’s races. First it’s immaterial. Second it will make your opinion easily dismissed as racist and any meaningful discourse on the matter will be moot at that point.

I disagree in total with this point.

This is a racial issue in as much as these “protests” concern what has been deemed as unacceptable civil authority behavior toward a certain race.

Any statistical analysis will overwhelmingly show massive differences in criminal activity when racial makeup is examined.

These “protestors” can not use race as a cause then excuse themselves (or be excused) from the discussion due to race.

A discussion for another time but open discussion is needed void of filters.

    bill,

The tailgating at UGA ain’t all that. On campus which is a great plus but the cooking that I did in Raleigh, and others I saw, were vastly superior to anything in Athens. Overall the cooking and the gathering is a major plus in Raleigh.

The massive downside is that the peckerheads in Raleigh will not open the gates soon enough and the off campus site and centralization of parking.

It will take me 30 minutes o get out of Athens tonight. Ten minutes back to the car, 5-10 minutes in traffic then out if there and that is at a place that will hold 90,000 plus.

It takes a long time to get out at Raleigh and that is only around 60,000.

Only use fungicides on the fescue and the bentgrass.

I used Daconil which has probably been replaced by now, rather benign substance.

I’ve done a bit of everything bill, never been a company man.

One day, maybe I’ll tell ya’ll about “The Turf Farm — 450 acres of fescue, bermuda and zoysia.” Toxic.

    It shouldn’t be bill.

A little atrazine for broadleaf control on the warm season stuff and Trimec on the cool season stuff. Pre-emerge anything you are holding after May 1 for crabgrass and goose grass.

Fertility speaking it should be all slow release unless you are pushing some fescue or trying to get cut Bermuda to spread back.

Nematicides were the roughest thing to deal with bill.

I remember in the 1980’s my company (a textile company) asked us to write to Congress et al about stopping the loss of textile jobs – the theory was cheap imports were the sole cause. Actually it was company owners and managers who wanted cover for the rapid technology change that made some jobs unneeded along with the cheaper imports that they were creating. Same today in all sorts of industries for good or bad.

Andy Warlick of Parkdale Mills wrote a piece years ago addressing the technology and “free” trade issue.

The essence of the death of textile jobs was cheap labor, period. Couple that with reduced regulation (environment, health, etc) and you have major retailers dictating price based on surplus labor in a communist country (China). We gain debt, they gain reserves.

But there are social and cultural considerations that have been dismissed with tariff reduction. Karl Marx addressed those in his attack on the Corn Laws in Enland in the late 1830s.

I doubt he could do anything to fix the problem. Oil and the dollar tied together, not so good when oil is very expensive.

His election was a response to Watergate in as much as the thing in the White House now was a response to the stupid invasion of Iraq, economic collapse and social brainwashing.

The more interesting angle is how some groups are allowed a collective identity and others are not.

I can’t help but be reminded a bit of the lecturing on white mob violence of the 19th and early 20th century when an accusation of rape was lodged at a black man. More we are told so than not, the facts of the case were never heard and an innocent life was taken. The evil, we are told, was a collective identity ready to defend the group regardless of facts and rational discourse.

Now notice the aforementioned pattern playing out today, a shooting takes place and the facts of a case aren’t mentioned, the response is a collective action against the civil authorities. Yet one group is taught to think individually, to do otherwise is racism while the other group is allowed the idea that an attack on one is an attack on all.

Also notice the slow creep up in violent crime the last several years. The slow indicators are out there that the police will not fulfill their duties for fear of lawsuits and cries of racism.

No, don’t you understand, babies born out of wedlock because of the sexual revolution in the US are the reason an unarmed, mentally ill man from Uganda was shot in San Diego. It’s the butterfly effect man.

    Love some n=1.

    The ultimate default position.
