Figured the error by the GT player would come up in us winning the game. But lets not forget B. Brown threw 2 wild pitches, to score runs for GT. So I say it all has a way of working out. Had the game won Thursday vs Miami, and lose it in the 9th, then reverse that Friday. Just hope our pitching can become more reliable, for any success we may desire in the NCAA tourney field. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantLooking back on the weekend series, perhaps the friday game was all a set up to make the heels feel overconfindent, and not have any concerns about playing at the DPAP. Then just like that we snatch the rug of confidence right out from under them, and eliminate them from the acc tourney field. Way to go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantAfter enduring 8 innings friday night, and a power outage, it was great to see the team reverse the results Saturday. Though we left way too runners stranded, at times with the bases loaded, we still took care of business. Now we need to do the same vs. FSU on Wednesday. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantAfter watching the game at Doak yesterday, it just breaks my heart to know the cheats will have to sit out for the acc tourney. Booohooo!!!!
mak4dpakParticipantNo matter who we had on the mound, our pitching was horrible, and they hit the crap out of us. Have a ticket for Saturday, but decided to drive up early for the game tonight. What a waste, and total embarrassment for the fans. The fans showed up, but not sure what you call what the team showed up for. Gotta win the series. Fortunately no matter how many runs you lose by, they only count as one loss in the loss column. Hope pitching shows up Saturday, can’t take another friday nite fiasco.
mak4dpakParticipantHere is hoping the heels have their snake bitten weekend, and our bats wake up. Can’t lose a home series vs. the holes. A sweep would be a good boost going into the acc tourney.
mak4dpakParticipantThe travesty of this all is that the man who made the winning shot, never got to make this trip. RIP Lorenzo Charles!
mak4dpakParticipantTraveled from Fayetteville, friday for the game, we barely pull out, but we do. Sure woulda been nice to see the game Saturday, with the beat down Duke received. Looking for the sweep Sunday.
mak4dpakParticipantThe game started out badly, but the final result is the most important thing. Good win, coming from behind to win it in 9 innings.
mak4dpakParticipantWow, seems this post is becoming a permanent fixture. Nothing else to talk about in the world of NC State sports???
mak4dpakParticipantBlame it on the coach, but the guys are legends in their own mind. They want to be the stars on the team, yet when given the chance to prove themselves, they show their star potential, and as previously mentioned the transfers have done little to change that at their new schools. It is unfortunate, but hopefully we can find some transfers, or undecided high school seniors who can make an impact, as a short bench will again produce a team who is unable to be 100% for the entire game, due to fatigue.
mak4dpakParticipantPer Geoff Gravely, Barber will not test the draft, but is committed to be in the NBA draft.
mak4dpakParticipantTerrible day, baseball loses in extra innings, wrestling sucking in new york, with our undefeated heavyweight @ 88-0, losing in ot, and then the stinking holes, roll over providence in our arena. BOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Can Calgon please take me away?

One former player thinks so. #101205mak4dpakParticipantWinning is what we all want, and I seriously doubt the location will sway that, one way or the other. I personally take pride in the PNC arena, and like football, it is away from the campus, and the traffic issues that would develop there, as in the past. Traffic flows pretty well around the PNC, and Carter Finley. Just need to pave all parking for both sports, to reduce the muddy mess that sometimes occurs after lots of rain.
mak4dpakParticipantWe also look to have a good baseball season, along with the wrestling championship. As for basketball, we still have a women’s team that is having a successful season, and headed to the NCAA tourney.
mak4dpakParticipantAgain Anya should be more of offensive threat with his size inside, to make us a team to reckon with. Did hear that this was the second highest scoring game in ACC tourney history, with us also in the first vs. Maryland, when we won the championship. Next year should be interesting, especially if Cat gives us another year.
mak4dpakParticipantSend Anya to an NBA camp to learn how to play, with his size he should be a dominant force inside, instead of so clumsy. One can only wonder what would have happened had Barber drove in and passed to Abu. I say we would have scored, and tied the game. Instead we put our trust in the unreliable play of Anya. Bad move.
mak4dpakParticipantA Championship for us to finally boast of, at NC State. Go Pack!!!
mak4dpakParticipantNC State wins championship! Congratulations!
mak4dpakParticipantHopefully something we will finally be able to boast in a championship, since basketball isn’t giving us anything.
mak4dpakParticipantYep, Cody definitely has his dumb moments.
mak4dpakParticipantSo our roller coaster regular season finally ends vs. BC. It was ugly for the most part, but the final score is the most important thing. And Maverick Rowan, gave us the victory. Congrats!
mak4dpakParticipantTough season, but we do have a game vs. Boston College, and no blog, for a game we should win.
mak4dpakParticipantReally would be nice for Terry Henderson, to show up for the tourney, and finally play, with the team going all the way to the ACC championship, and winning their way into the big dance. Somebody wake me up. I have to be dreaming!
02/25/2016 at 7:35 PM in reply to: A Victory Over the Tarheels Would Salvage an Average Season #100174mak4dpakParticipantThe day started with locking my keys in my car, bad sign, we come out of the gates vs. the holes and gain a 13 point lead, thanks to Barber, nobody else, except for some good play from Abu. Then as Barber goes, so goes the team, and the lead quickly faded. And our bricks kept coming. Game over, then get to my car, only to be stuck in the mud, by the football stadium, but thanks to some nice young men, I was pushed out of that problem. Bad day! Roy has a ridiculous record against us. Why can’t we get top notch recruits. I remember the day when Duke wasn’t the power it is now. We put money in the program and deserve a better outcome. We should be able to have a deep bench of players capable of playing in games. Not just bench warmers.
