Sad that any news on NC State football seems limited, to non existent these days. But I will say it again. We have 10 more games to play, and being at the ECU in Greenville, I will not blame this on the coaches, though I may not have agreed with some of their calls, the coaches didn’t miss 2 FGS, or drop an obvious pick 6, that was right it the defenders hands. Those 2 things meant the difference in a win and a loss, not to mention ECU is a quality team, and we will see that as the season goes along, but so are we, and we will see that too, as these goes along. And I will be in my seat cheering my team on regardless, not just a fair weather fan. Also have the gala for Reynolds Coliseum, and hall of fame inductees, but nothing on that either.

(CD Edit/Reply 🙂 This is a well done castigation. Seriously. I’m sitting on a dock by the bay when I should be in Raleigh.

    Where are you guys?

Guess this season is done, with one loss. Our moderators are on strike, nothing to write about. This is State Fan Nation, not Doeren Fan Nation, right? Good or bad, I support the red and white of NC State.

We obviously are all frustrated with yesterday’s loss, and upon seeing DD’s interview, he was too. Hopefully a wake up call for players and coaches. We started slow yesterday, but that is just not acceptable. Guess we will see next game. But again I still think ECU is a good team, and will continue to have a successful year. Losses are never good, but we were not dominated, and could have easily won that game. Special teams did us no favors. In the red zone 3 times, with no points to show.

Really a bad way to lose a game today. Every chance in the world to win, and just couldn’t pull it out. Not all negative, as our QB played well his first time with us, in a hostile environment. However I was reminded how much I dislike Huxtable, and his defensive play calling. We sucked. I still like Doeren, but he should have sent Huxtable packing when he let Canada go. Hopefully the team and coaches will learn from this game, but I still think ECU has a good team this year, and no push over. And Duke loses to Wake. Perhaps the offensive coor, now at ECU had
something to do with that. We need to get back on the winning track, so when I go to this site, there will be something to read. Thought for sure win/lose there would be a blog on today’s game. No such luck.

Yes it was Bill/Mary, but no pushover. As for not having a QB, I think he proved himself to all the naysayers. Great start to the season. Mistakes here and there, but overall a pretty good performance, the team.

Well no matter what we think, time will be the factor that lets us know who is right. Let’s play football! Go Pack! Surprise us!

That would by Ryan Finley, and hopefully his grasp of the offense will produce a surprising season. As for talent, I really don’t see that our talent level this year is anything to worry about. If the offense can produce, then our suspect defense of a year ago, will spend less time on the field. I will be optimistic, until the team prove otherwise. Go Pack!

New network! Okay! Is there no new news in Wolfpack land. Summer basketball with next years players? Upcoming football season? Anything? Overdue for some, as I check often.

They were one strike from being eliminated by the Pack. But none the less the national baseball champion came from the Raleigh regional. And we did hand that 8-1 thumping on them, with Gilbert pitching. So hats off to the Pack, for a great season, and another promising one for next year. Congrats to CC!

For the record, we were 2-2 vs Coastal, this year.

Yogi, my final 4 meant the final 4 teams left, which they indeed won in, and are headed to championship. And quite aware it is the best out of 3 games. Went to the Raleigh regionals As for what could have been, that would be a matter of opinion. Ours differs. Weather hindered both teams.

One strike away for us. and now if Coastal can beat TCU in the championship game, they are in the final 4 of the CWS. After they again eliminated LSU, Florida, Texas Tech. Surely could have been us. And we handed them the worst loss at 8-1 in the regionals in Raleigh.

And as basketball continues to bring in talent, yet another signing with 6 ft 10, forward Ted Kapita, from the Congo. Go Pack!

FYI for anyone wondering. Coastal just knocked off Florida in their first CWS game. No hate from me. Just thinking of what could have been if we had taken care of business.

Coastal downs LSU. And to think we were one strike away from super regionals.

Pack pitching did us in, but no hating on Coastal from me. Hope they do well vs LSU, making us look better, knowing we were one strike away from the supers.

Was told that the reason for the Monday afternoon game, was that the NCAA would only allow a team to play 2 games in one day. Even though it was 1 inning vs. coastal. Still 2 games. Hopefully some good rest, and pick up where we left off today.

Here’s hoping we pull an ECU number on CC. Kinda figured this to be a loss. Just not so confident in Wilder pitching.lacks control, and too many wild pitches. Probably putting us playing 2 more games after the resumption game. Please no rain. So tired of it. And if we come thru victorious, then back tomorrow. Hope our pitching gets it together, costing us games big time.
