mak4dpakParticipant
We need to play as a team, sharing the ball, and working the ball inside and out, for good shot selections. And definitely play defense like it matters, when the game starts, not when we have fallen far behind, and have a fierce exhausting effort to catch back up, which has come up short every time.
mak4dpakParticipantCan’t we just all get along? It is hard to do after a loss, especially an ugly one.
mak4dpakParticipantWhy aren’t we good, you ask? We don’t know how to play a complete game.
mak4dpakParticipantWhat a total joke. Embarrassing! As I said Lacey and Turner are no shows. No excuse!
mak4dpakParticipantHopefully Barber has a game like the last one, but if not, under no circumstances can Turner and Lacey not show up. We will need a good game from both of them, or we will lose. Go Pack!
02/01/2015 at 2:05 PM in reply to: Saturday’s best & highlights of State’s win at Georgia Tech #72704mak4dpakParticipantReminds me of the saying, “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make em drink it.”
mak4dpakParticipantWe have got to learn to play 2 halves! Unreal. What in the world is wrong with Turner? His play is killing us, and his shots are terrible. Hope somebody can figure out how to get his head back in the game. We need him. And Barber certainly showed more poise with his decisions today. It was ugly, but it was a win. And before we discredit GT, they have had some close losses, and did just defeat Miami by 20, prior to today. A team we lost to. Again, I will just be happy, when we play a full game. My heart can’t take much more of these close ones.
mak4dpakParticipantSounds like this coach, who is in over his head, seems to know what he is doing. Go Coach Doeren! Bright future for the Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantThis team can beat anybody in the league, and come out in the first half playing like crap. What a joke! Maybe some day they will discover there are 2 halves in a game, and when are the smaller players gonna quit driving in trying to shoot over the Clemson’s bigs? Swat! How embarrassing! 3 losses in a row.
mak4dpakParticipantTo clarify my point, though I totally agree there was some bad officiating, if we had shot a respectable precentage in the second, we would have been so far ahead, bad officiating wouldn’t have mattered.
mak4dpakParticipantOfficiating, fouls? None of this matters to the outcome of the game, if we just show up, in the 2nd half on offense. 39% shooting don’t cut it. And as Lacey/Turner go, so goes the team. Win the next 3, then show up for 2 halves against UVA, and maybe we are back on track.
mak4dpakParticipantHeard coach after the game, stated Lacey was given the option of the hail mary pass, and that the ball slipped off his hand, when attempting to throw it. Unreal! Also heard Turner say coach reminded them they were winning in Miami at halftime, and look what happened, yet the team comes out flat to start the second half, and shoot 39%. I don’t blame the coach, these guys need to work on their mental errors. Turner himself, said there were just too many mental mistakes. The hail mary pass wouldn’t even have factored into the game, if the guys can learn to show up for 2 halves. Hopefully we can get on a winning streak with Clemson/GT/Wake coming up. But the guys better show up for the entire game, or there may be more losses. Will say there was some bad officiating. Great defensive blocks, called fouls. Ref is blind. Was clear on the overhead tele, that there was no foul, yet our bigs end up on the bench, due some bs officiating.
01/24/2015 at 7:01 PM in reply to: Fantastic Dave Doeren interview: Contrast in styles with Larry Fedora #71052mak4dpakParticipantLooking forward to another great season of football, with a group players with more experience, and a great incoming class. The skies the limit. But for now here is hoping the BB team gets back on track, and knocks off ND. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantStill not a Barber fan, the guy just has too many turnovers, something Gott can’t control unless he sits, Which would be fine with me. On the other hand as Lacey/Turner goes, so does the team, both shot horribly tonight. We can’t win with both of them doing that. As for the State/unc women’s game. Was there had 13 point lead in the first half, and 10 point in the second, winning 33 min of the game. The girls have potential, but got to stop giving games away. And back to the guys, we can beat anyone in the ACC, and will return to our winning ways, Sunday. We will defeat Notre Dame.
mak4dpakParticipantTruly sorry to hear of Barber’s loss, but I still don’t believe, if he had played, it would have made us better. Until he learns to do a better job at the point, the bench is where he should be. His last few games, when playing, have caused me to truly doubt his capabilities. But next time he takes the court, he can make us all believers, if he does what he is supposed to do.
mak4dpakParticipantRoy said his team was Lucky to win, maybe he should have said Jamie Lucky. Some bad calls, but no excuse for the loss. What does it take to make these guys realize when you take the court, you better be ready to play, from the beginning? Inexcusable, and can’t blame the coach on this one. As for Cat, the more I see him play the less I like him. He was terrible in the game, and he played defense on Paige. Guess that explains his great game. Put Barber on the bench, until he learns to do his job on the court. We lose by 2, and shoot 33% in the first half. Even the 40s would have won the game. It would be really nice, if the next time around, we correct all these inexcuable errors, and play from the start, and beat the heels on their court. Hate the bs I have to hear after we lose to them. Tempted so say they probably had a lot more practice time, since they didn’t have to go to class.
mak4dpakParticipantSo what is up with the tarheels ragging duke over their loss to us? Hate them holes. We just gotta whip them Wednesday, plus let the devils get their day to talk smack back to the holes. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantGott in over his head? Where are you guys today? Geat game, and great coaching by Gottfriend! Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantI try my best to keep track of the women. Sometimes on televsion, and when possible at Reynolds. Seems the coach has this undersized team on the right track, and a good recruiting class coming next year. Go Pack Women!
mak4dpakParticipantAhhhh! You mean Hess won’t be able to ref in our game against Duke? Yessss! He will be missed! NOT!!!!!!!!!
mak4dpakParticipantAs for the Gott haters, get real. We play on the road, against the Number 3 team in the country, and hang with a veteran team, on their court for 3/4 of the game, with a team trying to find the right chemistry. We will continue to improve, and hopefully return the favor to the Hoos on 2/11, in the PNC.
mak4dpakParticipantFor those who feel Cat is a waste of time and space on the court. I totally agree. He was a no show in the UVA game. He needs to sit, if he is not producing.
mak4dpakParticipantNo we didn’t, but we certainly could have won this game. Just didn’t play smart the last 6 minutes of the game, poor shooting, and not blocking out on their end. Live and learn. Beat Duke!
mak4dpakParticipantYoung team, with not much size to match up against the taller competition, but nevertheless had a good showing in the Hill, considering they are a top 10 team. Hopefully we continue to improve and find a remedy to offset the size issue. Maybe we can get them back in Reynolds. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantMy vote is for in the dance, and off the bubble! Possible!
