mak4dpakParticipant
It was a long, cold, and sometimes wet day. But I made the trip from Fayetteville, and enjoyed 2 victories, over a team that had previously beaten Miami 2 out of 3. Just trust the pitching will continue to improve, as well as finding the right batting order, so that runners aren’t stranded in scoring position, and eliminating error. All possible! Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantPitching seems to have been the biggest issue with the team this season. I have seen them just fall apart late in the game, after the game was close. Like the UNC game, where the pitcher hit the batter, for the winning run, with bases loaded, then last night vs UVA, we had a tight game going, then errors, and wild pitching doomed us, and we got whipped. Hope we can manage to win the series. But pitching will again decide our fate, and we just don’t have the reliable pitchers we have had, in previous seasons.
mak4dpakParticipantTOB is gone, RW, is gone, MG is gone, history! Can’t go back in time. DD is the coach, and JB is our QB. Go Pack! Time to move on!
mak4dpakParticipantI just hope if we invest in any future transfers, we get more then one year out of them. Seems like a poor investment when they give us just one. But that is risk that is taken. Hope Lacey made the right choice, and is successful. Seems he along with 28 others made the choice for the NBA.
mak4dpakParticipantHey guys I am disappointed Lacey is leaving, next year was promising. But if we wanna keep good players, it is pretty obvious we need to recruit some talented white kids, because they generally stick around for 3-4 years, even if they have pro potential. Not meant as a racist remark, but just look at the guys who leave school early, and the facts are there. All about the $$$$$$. Though there have been exceptions in both cases.
mak4dpakParticipantWhat about the spring game today? No pics, or article?
mak4dpakParticipantWent Friday, where an error unfortunately cost us a run, and the game. But great effort and pitching by the team, and when the bats finally woke up, Saturday, success. Congrats to the team, and also to the softball team for doing the same, winning the last game of the series. FSU is ranked 8th in baseball/softball nationally. So we are there, just have to get over the hump, with the one run game losses, we could have easily won the series. But just have to keep improving.
mak4dpakParticipantSo the baseball/softball teams finally beat FSU in their finallies. Way to go. FSU ranked 8th in baseball/softball national polls.
mak4dpakParticipantWent to see the Pack take on #8 FSU, pitching was great, but a fielding error the first cost us a 1-0 setback, and also lost to them Thursday nite, by 1, in 3-2 game. Hopefully we find a way to close out Saturday with a victory. Ever so close, just got to get over the hump.
mak4dpakParticipantJust wish we could find some vanilla talent to team up with the guys. Not just to ride the bench. But have some legitimate playing time. That won’t happen, unless the coaching staff are recruiting them. But according to the Wolfpacker, I have seen none to date. Though there are quite a few guys we are looking at.
mak4dpakParticipantGreat season, and looking forward to next season. But now we have baseball season, and congrats to the Pack on their 3 game dominating sweep of Pitt! FSU this weekend. We are 13-1, at home.
mak4dpakParticipantFootball/basketball were definitely successful, with exciting futures ahead, and now time for some baseball/softball, which I believe will continue the same pattern of success. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantCongrats to the baseball team winning 14-5 over Pitt.
mak4dpakParticipantThis season turned out far better than anyone ever expected. Sure we could have won this game, but it just wasn’t our night. Still nothing to ashamed of. Proud of the team. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantEven more importantly the heels are gone and we have to go further than them. Sure that would devastate them. Go Pack!!!!!
mak4dpakParticipantThought the Lady Pack was done for the season, but seems they have made it to the Sweet 16 of the WNIT. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantCan’t wait to see what we can do, if our outside shooters are on track, namely Turner.
03/22/2015 at 6:18 PM in reply to: Oh yea…we also won a National Championship on Saturday night!! #82204mak4dpakParticipantGuess it took a woman with some balls, ha ha, to get our athletic programs on track. Thanks DY!
mak4dpakParticipantIt is Sunday, and it is not a dream! Sweet 16! Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantand Tyler Lewis changes dance partners (Butler), and he gets to go back home. No Sweet 16!
mak4dpakParticipantAnd to add to our victorious day, the men’s baseball team over BC, and softball over Pitt. Great day to be a Pack fan!
mak4dpakParticipantGood we all have different opinions. I still say Turner had some open looks in the game and still didn’t put them down. But to his credit FT shooting helped us. Don’t forget the dumb foul in the late stages of the game when Nova scored and got a 3 point play. He is better than what we saw. And I am still waiting for that player to show up. Maybe next game. We surely need his points, especially if he is hitting the 3s. Coach even said his shots weren’t falling.
mak4dpakParticipantWell then let the VU arrogance endure the taste of crow. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantDefense had nothing to do with Turner, he just had another one of his bad shooting performances, except at the FT line. But fortunately it was a team effort, and we are moving on. Go Pack! Maybe Turner will find his touch in the next game. Not bad for a team given no chance against Villanova. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantTo Ruffles 31, what was your comment about State just being a speed bump. Enjoy your crow! Pack Nation!!!!!
