mak4dpakParticipant
Guess that is why we all have opinions, as the census around me felt it was ABSOLUTELY the wrong thing to do, as it didn’t work. Perhaps I can go with the pooch kick to the gap.
mak4dpakParticipantDid forget to mention with 11+ minutes left in the game, absolutely disagree with the onside kick, then turn around and do it again a few plays later. I say bury them deep, stop them, and we have a shorter field. And if we had done a better job with fumble recoveries, like when we knocked the ball from Watson, then they would have not scored a TD, on the next play. But again overall proud of the effort, and making the tiggers play 4 quarters to win. A 9-3 finish would be awesome.
mak4dpakParticipantAgree with you MIKE, one sided officiating, to help out the tigers.
mak4dpakParticipantForgot to mention the previous high scored against the tiggers, was 24, and we get 41, which could have easily been 51, with the missed FG, and failed TD, in the 4th.
mak4dpakParticipantWhile losses are never a good thing, the team definitely show some fight for 4 quarters, and gave the #3 team in land a Halloween scare. The offense did their part, but the defense let some big pass plays doom our upset bid. But definitely a great chance to finish strong for the rest of the season, if we pick up where we left off today. And this same team beat Miami 58-0 last week, who beats Duke. Coastal division clearly very weak. Too bad we didn’t play like this against the ville, and vt. Lets see who show next week vs. BC.
mak4dpakParticipantIt ain’t over til its’ over, no matter how it looks, one never knows. Clemson could have a bad day, and lots of turnovers, or we could actually get up and play our best game of the season. Not probable, but possible. I for one like the possibilities. Besides that the coastal division is very weak, so we can’t go on the 58-0 shut out. Remember Louisville, and Notre Dame only lost by a few points, and could have beaten Clemson. Guess we will find out on Halloween.
mak4dpakParticipantIt doesn’t seem likely that we will win. But it is not out of the realm of possibilities. I will do my part, and will be there to cheer them on. I hope we will pack the stadium, We have to be loud, and intimidating. But most of all the team better be on their A game, and pull out all the stops. JB has to be at his best, and to do that he needs to be more open to passing to other options, when they are open, especially the middle of the field, which has not been used much this year, though there are receivers in that area. No turnovers, by us anyway. I am gonna keep the faith, but we can’t have a game like we had last year against them. Total embarrassment, and I was there. At least for a half. Couldn’t take anymore. Hope the coaches have us ready, even with unseen plays by our offense. I am sure the team will not need anything to motivate them. Just have to play smart. I am gonna expect a win, and a halloween nightmare for the tiggers. Call me crazy. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantIf we have any aspirations of winning against Clemson, we will have to play 4 quarters of football, and JB will have to do a better job of distributing the ball, especially over the middle, which has been pretty much non existent all season. JB pre determines his pass plays, and rarely if ever checks down for other options. Do that and we lose for sure Saturday. I honestly think we can win for some reason, but we have to use our entire arsenal of weapons, which surely doesn’t include the FG kicker.
mak4dpakParticipantCoastal division sucks, pretty much. Best teams in the Atlantic. Louisville lost by 3 to the tiggers. Still have my faith. But better play a full game.
mak4dpakParticipantA win is a win, but this foot on the gas for one quarter, then sleep mode just don’t cut it. Same as the VT game. When can you score too much? No killer instinct when we get em down. That will not bode well in the Clemson game if that happens. And Jacoby needs to stop locking in on one receiver, when other are open, especially over the middle. We will need everyone next week. And please put the FG on inactive for the game. He is the worst FG I can remember State ever having. If the game is on the line, and he is to win it, we lose.
mak4dpakParticipantFootball game this weekend vs. Wake Forest. Ready for a new blog, the usc game blog has been around long enough. No new news????
mak4dpakParticipantCrossland Studios is a nice place to stay. Been there before, and approx. 2 miles or less from the stadium, in case anyone was considering staying there. Hate to wait a week for the game, but it will be worth it with a win. Hope the Deacs can find a way to knock off those holes, in Chapel Hell, this weekend.
mak4dpakParticipantPerhaps if we had lost by 7 or 3 to VT, DD would not get such harsh criticism, but we have plenty of time to turn it around, and have great season. I am certainly not happy with our losses, but they are over and behind us, and time to move forward, starting with a win at Wake. Strong possibility, then a return home to knock off top 10 team, Clempson. And that is also a strong possibility. I am still being optimistic, until I am given the reason not to be.
mak4dpakParticipantLRM, I stand corrected, but never the less Louisville had the chances to defeat Clemson, at home, so why shouldn’t we have the same chance. Even though I may question coaching, I am not calling for anyone’s job. But I do however believe we have a very talented team, capable of doing more than I have seen the last two weeks. Perhaps the easy games up front set us up for this. Time to take a week off and correct our issues. May we have a happy Halloween!
mak4dpakParticipantThe last two games have been disappointing, but forgetting the VT game, we certainly had our chances with Louisville, who again only lost by 3 to undefeated Clemson, in death valley. The possibilities are there, but we have to use the element of surprise, with our offense, as our last two opponents stated they knew the plays we were gonna run. That is fine if we can’t be stopped, but if they do stop it, then what. Canada has to do a better job coaching the offense, so the defense is not on the field so much for us. And our OL has got to given JB more time, as well as better throwing choices by JB, by checking down and finding the best option. I am heading to WF, where we have struggled, but hopefully we will be victorious, especially with our large fan base present at the game. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantWhat a great first quarter, then the demise. Everything sucked for us, from the coaching to the players. Why do I even bother?????
mak4dpakParticipantThey adjusted and we had no answer. Totally a no show in the second quarter. And Brissett needs to stop playing hero ball. The offensive play calling has gone south. The second half will be ugly if there are not some adjustments. One can only hope.
mak4dpakParticipantHopefully Friday we put this loss behind us. VT not good on run defense, and hopefully the coach don’t put it all on Dayes, and gives Gallaspy some touches. We lost a game we should have one, which ain’t bad considering undefeated Clemson, hung on to win at home by 3 over Louisville. We did not play a good game either for the most part. So had we done that, we would be riding an unbeaten streak. So let’s start a new one, with wins over VT, and WF on the road, then pull the upset over the Tiggers, and put us back in the picture.
mak4dpakParticipantIn regards to Gallaspy was referring to carries. Just one doesn’t seem to utilize his talent. Perhaps more with each game. Guess we will see at VT. They don’t seem to be so good this year, hope we can steal a win there Friday.
mak4dpakParticipantWhere was Gallaspy yesterday? Was sure with Shad gone, he would see increased playing time.
mak4dpakParticipantForgot to mention, if the game is on the line, and we need a field goal, we are in trouble. This guy, when given the chance, has been quite inconsistent, and missed them. With our history of great FG kickers, what happened?
mak4dpakParticipantThis was a winnable game, so we have to win our next two road games, then come home, and play to our potential, and beat the Tigers, who beat the Cards.
mak4dpakParticipantThings have come pretty easily the last 4 weeks, so Louisville comes to town, and the team seems to play like they won the game already before playing. Play calling on offense was just too predictable, even when it didn’t work. Puke at the constant first down and run for no gain. The season isn’t over, but the team better get it together, or more losses are in our near future.
mak4dpakParticipantShadrach is off the team. How stupid can he be? Fortunately the university will let him finish school, but football is done. But with Gallaspy to step in, we should be fine. DD gave him (Thorton), his chances, but he just didn’t get it. Time to beat some Cardinals!
mak4dpakParticipantGame day! Waiting for the blog on the State/USA game.
