Much better first half vs. LSU, and a lead at halftime, and a scoreless Ben Simmons.
mak4dpakParticipantWe could have more players if their success didn’t go to their head, and they head for the NBA, or they don’t produce, and someone gets more playing than them, so they leave. Maybe one day!
mak4dpakParticipantWe beat a UIPUI team, who took Marquette to OT, but no news, then the minute we lose, doom and gloom. All because a 3 point loss early in the season, and we as a team lost 75% of our scoring from last year. We will be fine. And we will improve, and defense will get better, with chemistry. I could never ever return to the days of Les/Herb/Sidney.
mak4dpakParticipantGoing all out with the NC State attire for this one. So trusting the team won’t make me regret it. Pressure and contain Marquise, and shut down Hood, and we should have this one in the bag, barring overseen turnovers. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantNo blog from our 23 point win over uipui. This same team took Marquette to OT, before losing by 5. So certainly a great win, and continued improvement with the team.
mak4dpakParticipantWolfpack92owen, just wondering who the tarholes are crushing. Teams from their weak division, even then they didn’t crush GT, or Pitt, just a TD difference in both those wins. And would be curious as to the record of the teams they have defeated. Again, as I said, I am still not convinced how legit they are, as even the ESPN guys, have continued to bring up their strength of schedule. We will find out more the next 2 games. Until then, the verdict is still out. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantCurious as to the comments we get at the end of the season. I believe they will be different. The team will improve, and get the chemistry going. Gott has not failed us yet, so I just (GOTT) to believe things are going get better.
mak4dpakParticipantIt was bad, but all is not lost. Football close out the homestand with 2 wins, and the basketball has a long season to turn things around. Needs to start tonight for basketball, and for both, it begins with leadership from Brissett, and Barber.
mak4dpakParticipant8-5 overall, 3-5 ACC in 2014, win out at home and a bowl win 9-4, 4-4 ACC, which is improvement, regardless how small. Our biggest problem with our weekend losses comes from the QB position, and PG with basketball, if they both show up for the entire game, we are looking at wins. Hope they show me more in their next games. Guess one starts tonight vs. S Alabama, and the other next Saturday at home, vs. Syracuse. Sure there may be other issues, but the team leaders have to do their jobs. Coaches are one the sideline, and don’t play.
mak4dpakParticipantI am still not convinced about the tarholes. Wanna see what they do vs. VT, in Blacksburg, and Beamer’s last game. They dominate that game I guess I can say they are legit. But regardless, we need to win out at home. Speaking of the holes, their improvement has come with the hiring of a new DC. Perhaps DD, should relinquish his loyalties, and makes some changes with his assistants.
mak4dpakParticipantThink if the coach is gonna be around, he needs to ask some accountability of his supporting cast. The OC, and DC, leave me scratching my head more than I care to. We are always determined to run it up the middle, pretty much every first down, even if it ain’t working. Defense burned too many times on 3rd down conversions. Then again we are young, but the coaches don’t have that excuse. And JB was just plain bad in the second half, minus the last drive. Too late to find his accuracy then.
mak4dpakParticipantMissed our deep passes down the field today. I am sure we coulda found someone open. Kept running up the middle, and gaining nothing. Wasted downs. We should have passed more, as in the last drive. Just can’t figure why we thought we were gonna score up the middle, with FSU team jamming it up. Woulda tried the outside. But then again we were supposed to lose. Have to win our last 2 home games, and get a nice bowl to play in.
mak4dpakParticipantNo score for the noles this drive. 3rd conversions killing us.
mak4dpakParticipantAnnouncer definitely fsu fans.
mak4dpakParticipant3 turnovers by fsu, we better not lose this one.
11/14/2015 at 10:36 AM in reply to: Friday the 13th: William & Mary crushes Wolfpack in season opener #92082mak4dpakParticipantlBad loss! Should get better, with no where to go but up. Now where is our gameday blog, for today. Big game with FSU!
mak4dpakParticipantAs for Wake, this FSU team only managed to pull out an 8 point win over them. I truly feel, if we show up on both sides of the ball, and limit the turnovers to FSU, then we can win the game. Do that then we should be able to win our final 2 home games. As I still am not convinced UNC is that good. Their division sucks. But for now beat the noles! And if we somehow manage to get a big lead, I pray we don’t go conservative, and play not to lose. I can’t stand that philosophy. The very reason we missed our shutout vs. BC.
mak4dpakParticipantThis team gave Clemson/FSU a good defensive game, and shut down their offense, yet we scored 21, with 3 sure catches dropped for potential TDs, so if our defense shows up, and the offense plays loose, without going into conservative, if they build a lead, we may end up finishing 2nd in the division. If FSU has no ground game, I think we got this one. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantGreat win for the team, even bigger if our receivers could learn to hold on to the ball. Not too crazy about going up 21-0, then going conservative, and closing with the zone defense to end our bid for a shutout, but again a win. I can’t say enough about the defensive job. Outstanding! And the BC, defense did hold the Clemson/FSU offense pretty much in check. So if we catch our passes next week, and the defense shows up, we will defeat FSU, And still a great chance to finish 2nd in the division, with a nice bowl to play in after the season ends. As for the boys from chapel hell, after running up the score on Duke, it would be so very funny to watch them lose to Miami, the team who lost at home 58-0 to the Tigers, and won at Duke due to poor officiating. I think even Duke fans would enjoy that. Hopefully they used everything up this past Saturday. But regardless of the outcome, we have to take care of business, and upset the Noles, in Florida. Go Pack!
mak4dpakParticipantThe top VT back ran for over 100 yards against BC, so if we block, we can gain yards, with the backs we have. VT won 26-10, so play offense like the Clemson game, and we win. Just gotta pick up on defense.
11/03/2015 at 7:06 PM in reply to: Huzzah – Dave Doeren Answers BJD’s Last Remaining Questions Last Saturday #91430mak4dpakParticipantAgain building on the game from Saturday, we can win all remaining games, even FSU, depending on what they show against Clemson, which I don’t see much, especially since they lost to a GT, who is on a downward slide. Just have to correct our mistakes from Saturday, with special emphasis on the secondary, and leaving receivers too open. This starts Saturday, and we a are more than capable of defeating BC.
mak4dpakParticipantEncouraging game vs. Clemson, then of course one of our starters, decides to turn his brain off. Really! Hope it was worth it. It doesn’t sound like it so far. Hopefully his replacement does as well or better, and doesn’t decide to follow his path. We have a season to take charge of.
mak4dpakParticipantI don’t believe the holes are as good as their record. Should pan out the next few games. I see some losses, and again the coastal division is weak.
mak4dpakParticipantSurely from an attendance standpoint, there must have been quite a few so called Pack fans that sold/or gave their tickets to tiger fans. Way too many fans in orange. I would lose money before offering my tickets to the opposing team. Never ever offer your tickets to the opposition in CF stadium. Bet the same so called fans give them up for the holes game too. That is just bad!
mak4dpakParticipantClemson game over, time to move on to BC, where we should be favored, if we show up and play. And hoping Clemson can win the National Championship, knowing we hung with them.
