Started State in '68, flunked out, returned in '73 after a tour with the 82nd Airborne Division. Majored in Textiles. Pretty much a clown in college, but great sports fan. Father, brother and ex brother-in-law all State grads. Attended Football in old Riddick and from the Carter Stadium beginning. Fortunate to have attended all the David Thompson home games during his career. Also made it to Eastern Regionals and National Finals for our 1st National title. Attended most Bowl games in the 70's and a few since. Was a season ticket holder in both Football and B-Ball till hard times hit. Worked in the Textile Industry till '97. Went Bankrupt in 2000. Ended up having to go back to school and received a Finance Degree from UNCC. Now work for Wachovia. 3 Children from first marriage, remarried in '94, gained a step daughter and a great wife (State grad). Live in Concord, NC.
