papapjohn, Winston is not a good person and winning isn’t everything. He and FSU represent our league and I don’t particular like what either of them stand for. This is not the first example by either party of poor/illegal behavior. GT or Clemson may not be competing for a national championship, but at least (as far as I know) they’re clean (at the moment).
I guess this is good for ACC football…it certainly can’t be bad although I can’t bring myself to support FSU. What with Winston and a lot of what appears to be poor behavior by other players, campus police, and perhaps others. My thinks Winston is a bad apple and I’ll be glad when he’s out of the league.
On a lighter note, I love watching GT and pull for them at just about every opportunity. That triple option is devastating…especially with a QB who can throw and runs like an RB.
Ha ha. I grew up in ILM too. We called it UNC by the K-Mart as well. If it’s not gone, it soon will be. I preferred Katie’s, Red Dogs, the Trolley Stop, and J. Michael’s.
Somebody please provide some incite to bball recruiting for next season. We have landed exactly no one, so far. I know who the targets are but I have no idea where we stand. Write an article…start a blog. Somebody talk.
How interesting this string. In one light, we spend far too much time measuring ourselves against a stick we’d be far better to avoid. After all, what are we ranked? From another aspect, as a true pack fan it has always been as much about our successes as their failures. To me, that’s why this blog exists.
The bigger problem for the future, I would think, would be how soon before bigger programs come calling and he starts listening.

The one thing I’ve been hung up on all season is Cat. It always looks like the chains are on him and he’s being forced to play a game in which he’s just not accustomed. I sure hope that the Cat of the last 10 minutes of the game will be the new Cat. Quite frankly, I would like to see him let loose on a couple of 3s or medium range jumpers to force defenders to play him honest. He can be absolutely electric.
Everything else was a bunch of frustrated sarcasm…which is what most of this season has become. Hope it gets better from here.
I dunno. I was quoting those that were living on the “good loss” mentality from the Wofford game. It’s all 100% pure tripe. I’ve always been in the camp of losing is losing and winning is winning. There are no good losses or bad wins. I only see two columns when I look at the standings: wins and losses.
I believe we won tonight because of what I had queued up at the half:
That was a great loss by the team. Clearly better than picking up a bad win. I’m proud of the way they fought against what was clearly a superior team and program. I’m sure this loss will help us going forward and will help us in the ACC season and throughout the post-season.
We’re still a very young team that is developing chemistry and learning to understand what the coaching staff is attempting to accomplish. Our half court offense is a work in progress but I’m sure will be running on all cylinders by the end of the season. You can see the substantial improvement already in the ability to handle the pressure.
I can see this team being extremely strong by the end of the season. We might even crack the top 10 of the conference.
