ParticipantAs a lifelong Pack fan (and alum), I’ve grown accustomed to two diametrically opposed theories in NCSU basketball: we either pull off miracles or fall flat on our face. As a vocal Gottfired opponent, I have my hunches.
lawful
ParticipantToo shy? Ugh. That’s awful.
lawful
ParticipantWe gave up 50 pts in a half to WF. Really? Has anyone else given up that many points in a half to WF this year? How about the last 5 years?
We blow huge leads. Blame it on the players if you want. This is big time college ball. Put your foot up their ass if you have to. This team should be top 25.

ParticipantDefense wins championships.
lawful
ParticipantThanks. The write up is strong.
lawful
ParticipantHe’s Gott to go.
lawful
ParticipantIn what respect is he under rated?
lawful
ParticipantWhy is he underrated?
lawful
ParticipantShocking how everyone expects us to lose. Myself included.
lawful
Participant…or even “good”.

ParticipantRoo,
What does someone’s resume regarding NBA drafted players have to do with a college basketball team?

ParticipantEvery team is going to have a loss occasionally. IMHO that’s a pretty ignorant comparison.
I believe our losses are quite a bit more than “occasionally”. It seems like the worst thing that can happen to our teams are double digit leads. I would be interested to know how many double digit leads his teams have given up, win or lose.

ParticipantHas anyone seen how Archie Miller’s team looks? Let’s hit up Shaka again. Love the pressing style and you know he could recruit better here than VCU.

ParticipantAgree w/Backthepack. Forget youth. That excuse ran its course five or more years ago. I don’t think Kentucky is suffering much from youth…and every other program that deals with one and done. Our problems are systemic.
lawful
ParticipantI should have been clearer: too bad we won. This will only make it more difficult to get rid of him. As evidenced by the fact that we lose to inferior talent, coaching is more important than recruiting.
lawful
ParticipantToo bad. Not sure I’ve ever seen so much talent, at least as far as professional scouting organizations are concerned, that so underwhelms. Good thing we weren’t facing Wofford. Remember when we played the hardest schedule in the Milky Way Galaxy so we would be prepared? Yeah, that’s worked. No question, the guy can recruit. Other than that, I’ve completely lost faith. Someone else has said it before, there is a ceiling on Gottfried.
lawful
ParticipantHas anyone considered Whittenberg?
lawful
Participantfire him
lawful
ParticipantAt least we’re consistent.
lawful
ParticipantHope we don’t get anymore double digit leads.
lawful
ParticipantGot screwed on those 3 throws. On the line.
lawful
ParticipantAnthony Grundy, correct! Nate and Spud weren’t transfers…technically.
lawful
ParticipantWho was Archie’s backcourt mate? He was a transfer and was pretty good.
lawful
ParticipantThis isn’t really me but I’m really impressed with the D, the intensity, and the all around play. Who are these guys?
lawful
ParticipantIt would be so Packish to lose tonight and beat ND. I suppose I would take that.
