It will have no impact whatsoever.
We left 8 hidden points on the field. If we would have unhid those points, we would have won.

My 7-5 call is looking pretty optimistic at this point. Dominated by an ok Louisville team. Next week, we play a bad VT team. If we lose that one, and the odds are better than a coin flip, I’m going 6-6.
The GFS model has Joaquin running through the Triangle with 10+” of rain and wind gusts over 80mph. That will blow you off your moped in a minute right there!
It will be interesting to see if the game is even played this weekend. Depending on which weather models you look at, we get between 5 and 15+ inches of rain….and that is not even counting on whether or not the hurricane turns left and comes near through the area, which is a possibility.

On another note, hopefully (unless this latest incident is trumped up) Thornton will get kicked off the team and we can finally be done with the drama. Nothing against the guy; he’s quite talented, but it’s clear that he has some pretty major issues that will continue to prevent him being a reliable contributor. It’s time to move on.
I liked the white on white last week. Always like that combo. But who cares, really? Just keep winning.

My man, my Karma is Prove It. I’m not down on the team or the program. I think we’re moving in the right direction. I think at some point they will prove it. But until we prove that we can start taking care of business at Wake and against BC, when they are inferior teams and get through some seasons without major injuries or transfers of key players or whatever, I’m in Prove It mode. I’m looking forward to the season, though. And IMO, if there’s a risk to me being wrong with my 7-5 call, it’s definitely to the upside (barring any big injuries, suspensions, NCAA hammers, etc.).

I was high-fiving and celebrating our victory about 30 seconds before the end of the Nova game and was told to sit down and can it. I will be told to sit down and can it for the same reason tonight too. 🙂
The next thing to see develop that is critical in my mind is consistency — having more games like the second UNC game or the Villanova game and many less games like the BC one. The prevalent conventional wisdom around the lack of consistency is that we have a young team. We will know for sure next year whether or not that case holds water.

I didn’t realize the final four games were on TBS. I guess we’ll just have to wait till we play in the championship game to get back to CBS. Oh well….
