full body block. ACC refs would have called fouls on two State players

Rough game. We won’t “win” the game, we’ll survive it.

^Mav, I recall (ACCT) Vandy being forced to shoot several times (with fairly good results) when dealt the hot potato at 2.5 seconds left on the shot clock. He had no choice. Whatever….it seemed to work.

Damn, here I go again….hope creeping in. I really feel good about tonight, damnit! I can’t quit you, Wolfpack.

Any chance there will be ACC official(s) calling this game????

The only thing I fear about this game is that we come in too amped up and let them get way out ahead of us. I think KW is prone to line drive his shots, especially his baby hook, when he’s excited. RT put everyone’s mammoth expectations on himself after his 22 point breakout game and I think that pressure resulted in less than par offensive performances in the next two games primarily due to poor shot selection. TJ’s questionable decision making on defense (reach ins) surfaces when he’s out of his grove. Anyway, Gott’s challenge is to season the mental soup just right.

Having said that, I expect this team to win this game and the next and create a winnable situation late in the Louisville game (by the way, does anyone know when that might tip on Saturday?).

Here are some very clear differences between this team and the 2013 edition going into the NCAAT:

    1) No drama on this team
    2) Manageable egos on this team
    3) A consistent, reliable, superstar, end of game closer
    4) BIGS
    5) Supporting cast, bench
    6) Confidence
    7) Unity
    8) Joy…all the difference in the world when one is happy

2013, with all their individual talent was a mental hot mess no matter what combination Gott tried. We are a TOTALLY different team this year and we come in to this NCAAT seeing it as an opportunity not a right. We are very motivated to win….and we will. And, IMHO, there is no team in the tourney we can’t beat.

Name and email submitted to ESPN in order to play? If it were just us “family”, no problem. Maybe I’m too cautious….

I’m kinda likenin’ this play in game. No time to dwell on this opponent and then, hopefully no time to dwell on the next two. Study a bit of film, jump on the plane, suit up and play hard.

I note as well that some of our guys tweet from time to time about “haters”. No doubt they find motivation there. I hope Gott puts together a mash up of the a holes, Goodman and company, and plays it for the team tomorrow about 6:30 pm. We will be underdogs in every game we play. We will be talked about nonstop as not belonging. Yet, we do belong.

Go Pack! We are proud of your accomplishments this year. Play with passion, focus, drive and guts. You can beat any of these teams!

I’m hopeful, but unfortunately this game will probably be more about the officiating than the players. If TJ is assigned with guarding Parker, then we are going to see our star on the bench for 30% of the game….and we can’t beat Duke if that happens. Ideally we rotate a couple of defensive role players on Parker all game and protect TJ from the officiating. TJ, however needs to stop with the reach in’s that we’ve seen in the first two games. Don’t give the zebra’s anything like that because they are looking for the slightest possibility that a foul might have occurred to blow. F Hess. F Luckie and F TV Ted.

GO PACK! Win despite the odds!

We have not played very well, so I’m encouraged. But, neither has Cuse, so I’m worried
