Another way you could look at it is that even after 6 TOs USF still lost and I don’t know if USF “forced” those TOs as much as UMD kind of handed them over…

USF lost their starting QB in that game and Willie Taggert has already stated that he will not play against us. Seems like some USF fans are asking for Taggert to play their 3rd string highly-touted freshman QB, but he’s sticking with the backup for now. All of this gives us that dreaded “hope” again

Its such a headache to argue with people who say “If we win 10 games in the ACC we’ve got to be in” or, just as was presented, the 20 win myth. Our schedule, over the next 9 games, are full of more landmines than anything.

I’ve resigned to the fact that, barring a couple of unexpected wins we won’t see any paaaarts of the NCAAs this year…

Thing is TJ rarely ever gets IN foul trouble…except when Jamie Luckie is around…

What’s curious about TJ to me is most of his points seem to come from offensive rebounds or broken plays, not much is ever run for him. THIS night was a rare time where TJ chose to just take over the game and dominate on the offensive end. THAT mentallity would serve us well this weekend and especially ACC Tourny time

Gottfried kept Lewis in the game because 1) he was playing smart with confidence 2) we played a zone so he wasn’t a defensive liability 3) Cat was struggling offensively compared to the rest of the team

Not a thug in the least. The optimist in me hopes that those who wished to describe Sherman as a “thug” just have a limited vocabulary and can’t find another word to use. The realist in me knows that folks saw a darker skinned loud man with dreads and leaped to the word “thug” although he used no foul language, didn’t comment on Crabtree’s personal life, nor make any threats of violence.

People loved the personal animosity teams/players had for each other in the past…people clamor for a time when rivalries mattered and players genuinely didn’t like one another…the NFL mic’d up both Sherman & Crabtree before the game to capture this kind of fire while the game progressed, they wanted this and they got it…but truth is for the fans WE wanted this, and now we’ve got it too…

Count me in with the crowd who is ok with a soft schedule in this year. Look UVA had recruited VERY well under Mike London and scheduled some top notch OOC games against Oregon, Penn State, USC-West, TCU, Indiana, Ball State (2013), Louisiana Tech (2012) & BYU.

Yet their attendance is low, recruiting taking a big hit, and they’ll possibly have to hire a new football coach soon. Why? Partially because their OOC slate has been so tough they’ve struggled to win most of those games to put them in a position to get to a bowl. Truth is, as a recruit, if the team isn’t getting at least 6 wins and the coach who recruited you is constantly on the hot seat that will affect your decision more than worrying about a OOC slate that varies yearly (it was only a year ago that we played Tennessee in Atlanta folks).

Of course, the easy answer is for us to go out and just win those games, even the tough ones. Yet if our program is admittedly in a rebuild concerning talent and perception, why add another obstacle by putting yourself in an uphill climb for a bowl games?

As a huge fan of the NCAA series…this is devastating. It is almost as bad as when the College Hoops/NCAA Basketball games discontinued. Realism (as close as possible) is a necessity for fans of the game. There are whole files one can download that will name and re-order your roster based on current depth charts. The stadium announcer will even say their name in game.

Not mentioned here in the comments…EA was all ready to produce another game sans the NCAA. It was the conferences like the SEC, Pac-12 etc who killed this project. EA never cared about the NCAA, all they did was add “authenticity” and the presence of ESPN in the more recent games took care of that part.

so should the coach ask the team if they should go for it on 4th down or kick a field goal? Who they want to schedule in the future? What kind of leadership would a coach have if every major decision was based on a direct democracy?
