Greensboro native. Went to Irving Park Elem. School through 5th grade. Family moved to Southwest Va. (Abingdon) for a few years, then on to the suburbs of Atlanta where I graduated from Southwest DeKalb High. Went to Ga. Southern for two years and then transferred to State to complete my BA Bus Mgmt degree in December '76. Have lived in Jacksonville, FL since '77 and it has become my home. J-ville is a long way from Raleigh, ACC sports, & Carolina style Bar-B-Q but there is something about getting the Florida sand in your shoes and between your toes so to speak that just won't come out.
