Not on the Archie-to-State bandwagon, but what if Dayton ponied up the $$$ to keep Archie? How motivated is he to leave Dayton and the A-10 – as in, does he take the first high paying job offer to come along (Bama, maybe)? Money talks, but A-10 is good quality ball and he’s a western-PA kid, so I can’t automatically assume he jumps after this season. Maybe Greg Marshall, and to an extent Brad Stevens, have set a new precedent for staying at small-but-quality bball first schools…
I’m sure Eric Leak didn’t associate or do anything unbecoming prior to these kids declaring themselves professional athletes. No way a guy that stole millions from NC Medicaid would do such a thing. Got to think everything is way above board.
Any proof or citations beyond your gut? Maybe he had some relationships with the boys in blue.
Wonder if Wofford’s Mike Young is on anyone’s radar? Would make sense for schools like George Mason, Charlotte or Alabama to look his way – maybe even Clemson if they make the move on Brownell.
GT is screwed and their AD didn’t make it any better with that announcement. Way to kill any recruiting momentum you might have had.
We’ll be lucky to make the NCAA tourney, and even luckier if we actually win a game in it, no matter the seed. Doesn’t matter 8, 9, 10, whatever seed.
A small part of me hopes we get an 8/9 game in Kentucky’s bracket, and then somehow get lucky enough to play Calipari’s mercenaries. Not that I think we’d win, but I’d just like our team to have a chance to play the best team in the nation. Maybe they’d learn a thing or two.

Tough loss in a season full of them. Never seen a single team have as much hard luck on the court as this year’s Pack. Someone’s got some mighty potent voodoo.
Credit to the players for not giving up, but a trip to the NIT is not a reward or even a consolation. Here’s hoping other teams start sleeping on us and we can string together some unlikely wins – it’s really our only hope at this point.
Players (and some fans) having a pity party. Hope they snap out of it. Best way to do that is decide that if you’re going down, go down swinging. We’ll see who on the team has that kind of grit and determination. This is all on the players, btw – all 3 losses in this current streak, esp Lacey and Turner.
Oh, and Archie ain’t walking through that door anytime soon. Do yourselves a favor and snap to reality on that. We’ve got our coach for the next few seasons at least, so suck it up.

Didn’t see the game, but final score of a nearly 20 pt defeat against an offensive inept program with a substitute coach at home indicates we might have quit on the court…did that happen? I had some hope for this season, but losses like this make me think we’ll be looking at having to win the ACC tourney to get into the NCAA.
