OMG. They nearly blew an uncontested inbounds pass?
03/14/2014 at 8:26 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46217ILPackfanParticipantWhat a block by Vandy!
03/14/2014 at 8:21 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46212ILPackfanParticipantNo worries. I’m looking for another lock to lose here in about 16 minutes….
03/14/2014 at 8:19 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46210ILPackfanParticipantWay to follow, Kyle!

My point exactly. I hate seeing locks lose in their conference tournaments at this stage, because it puts other bubble teams in play.
03/14/2014 at 8:08 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46197ILPackfanParticipantHmmm. St Louis loses to the Bonnies in the A10 tourney. There goes another potential at-large bid.
03/14/2014 at 8:00 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46193ILPackfanParticipantHalftime quote from the coach: “We’re not in a bad place.” I’ll say. Let’s get after ’em in the final 20, fellas.
03/14/2014 at 12:42 PM in reply to: #7 NC STATE vs #2 SYRACUSE Preview (ACC Tournament Edition) #46039ILPackfanParticipantWell heck, I’m going to go with whipping Syracuse, Duke, and trouncing UNC in the final for the first ACC title since 1987. The Pack enters the NCAA with the automatic bid as a 9 seed, gets to the next round, upsets the #1 seed (probably Florida), and moves on to the Final Four.
OR….
The Pack wins the NIT title in 2014. Whichever.
ILPackfanParticipantOne down, three to go. Go Pack!
ILPackfanParticipantCouldn’t have happened to a better team (except for Duke or UNC). Enjoy being even more marginalized in your new conference, Twerps.
My only regret is that now that they’re in the Big 10 television market, I’ll actually have to see more of them in the future. That’s irony for you.
ILPackfanParticipantI was really hoping that Va Tech could pull off the upset against Miami yesterday and we wouldn’t have this matchup. I’ve got a bad feeling about this game.
IMHO, we need Buckets at the top of his game, decent play from the PG position regardless of who’s out there, and Turner to provide enough outside threat to keep the Canes honest. Also, I like Dez a lot on defense, but it seems like lately he’s making at least one bonehead play on offense (out of control in the lane, dribbling out of bounds, throwing the ball away, etc.) for every couple of good ones.
Here’s hoping for a solid run through at least Saturday.
ILPackfanParticipantBig congrats to Buckets on this honor. That was as strong a finish over the last few games as I’ve seen from a Wolfpack player in quite some time.
24.8 per game. Outside of the David Thompson era, there’s only a handful of seasons to compare this with. Tom Gugliotta in 1992, Rodney Monroe in both 1990 & 1991, Kenny Carr in 1976, Vann Williford in 1970, and Ronnie Shavlik in 1955.
Pretty good company. I’d love to see what Warren can do as a junior, but I’m not betting we’ll have that opportunity.
ILPackfanParticipantGreat game by Buckets today. He’s gotta be ACC POY. I’m going to miss him next year (but not as much as the rest of the team).
Here’s hoping for a good run in the ACC tourney.
ILPackfanParticipantThree 1-point conference losses, two of them to ranked teams. That’s genuinely frustrating.
ILPackfanParticipantDammit, dammit, dammit….
ILPackfanParticipantTonight was definitely one of the better all-around efforts of this season, certainly since they began ACC play. Good game; I’m already looking past the near-certain ‘Cuse loss and hoping for the same kind of effort that we saw tonight against Clemson and Va Tech.
ILPackfanParticipantWow. I mean, wow. Any win’s good now, but wow.
ILPackfanParticipantCome on, Kyle!
ILPackfanParticipantThis is the longest 1.8 seconds I’ve ever seen.
ILPackfanParticipantDecent game on both sides, kudos to Turner on making all those shots against the zone.
ILPackfanParticipantThis has the makings of another 30-point loss. And if this Holes team wasn’t having a down year, we’d probably be down 30 at the half.
ILPackfanParticipantThe embarrassment level can’t be sustained, right? This is ridiculous.
ILPackfanParticipantMuch like the Duke game at Cameron, I’m expecting the worst while hoping for anything but that.
Glad to hear Anya’s knee is a bruise and not a ligament.
ILPackfanParticipantGood play to get that last shot, and didn’t give up on the other end. Great game.
